I was afraid, because all the people I've lost, I never hurt them. But if I end up hurting you, being forced to kill you, I don't know how I'd live with myself. My main points are two things: I love you, and I am afraid." Marian gave a sigh, done with his speech.

Ellyse was so high on adrenaline and anger she hardly even cared. Tears still fell down her face. "Well I'm glad you feel that way. Are you happy now? Is this what you wanted?" She questioned him. "So now you've seen it. You've seen the monster I am. I hope your happy." She said plopping down on the ground her back facing him.

"Ellyse, you're not a monster." Marian whispered. He sat up and slid so he sat next to her. "Ellyse, look at me."

She refused to listen to him. "No, i am a heartless monster." She said looking down still.

"You are the strongest, bravest, most beautiful and wonderful person that I have ever met. You are NOT a monster. You are not. You have the biggest heart, and the most amazing qualities." Marian tried to get her to look at him.

"I don't have a heart Marian. I lost that as soon as I found out I was donated. And I don't have qualities. Your crazy. You don't realize what you've done. I might be brave, but there's no heart there. Why do you think i can't be hurt."

Marian leaned in and kissed Ellyse with all the love and despair he felt. "I need you," he murmured against her lips.

Ellyse was a little shocked as she wasn't expecting Marian to actually kiss her. She was also surprised by how much she must've meant to him as he normally wasn't so passionate and normally more shy. She kissed back hoping he didn't stop quite yet, her kissing back a signal of acceptance.

Assuming that Ellyse kissing him back was a sign that she forgave him, Marian wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss.

Ellyse scooted closer to Marian, practically sitting in his lap. She put her hands on his chest, resting them there.

Marian kept kissing her, afraid that if he pulled away, she would leave him again.

Marian closed his eyes. "I'm tired," he said. "Kissing takes a lot of energy."

"You don't want to hear me sing..." Ellyse hated her voice, although it was quite beautiful. She refused to sing to anyone but herself.

"Yes I do," Marian said. "I will tolerate it, even if it sounds horrible. I promise."

"I can't let you die..." She said tears brimming in her eyes. It had been an emotional day, so much so, that the simplest of thoughts moved her to tears.

"Ellyse," he whispered. "Listen to me. If we're the last two, I will die. Either you'll kill me, or I'll kill myself. I love you." He kissed her forehead gently.

"No, Marian. No.." She started sobbing, sobs wracking her whole body. "Stop. Marian no. I can't." She blubbered in between sobs.

"Shh." Marian pulled Ellyse to him and started running his hands through her hair. "It's okay. It'll be okay. I promise. Don't be afraid."
