Janhavi♥herondale I thought it the book was soooooooooooooo good BUT THEN....Lauren didn't let us be in peace in the ending.....so i officially love-hate THE BOOK!!!

I agree with you, i love-hate the series, didnt like the ending of the third book....

Ilana i really enjoyed the first installment, and even book 2. i was really upset though with how Requiem ended since there's so much that we don't get closure on.

i think though that in delirium we get a good sense of what society is like for them, and we get to see a person grow out of her comfort zone in a great way. it's nice to see that there's not only love and really being forced to make a choice between what you know is safe and what's really unknown, but there's a whole 'wild world' out there that she's choosing to change everything for.

TJ I'd have to agree with the love/hate. It wasn't just the ending that did it for me though. I was kinda like that since the second book began.

Currer Jean I love this book. Most dystopias don't show how their society is shaped, and when they do it is a little too over the top. This pushed me into its world and gripped me there in lyrical prose. Lena and Alex had a healthy love for each other and the end was explosive!!! It's an awesome read.

Ghitte Sadly enough, I can't participate in the love. For some reason I didn't actually 'fall' into the story. I couldn't feel the things the characters felt and I wasn't moved by the ending.

I don't hate the book, absolutely not.
I just don't love it as much as you guys do, sorry.

I'm going to read it again, maybe it gets better?

This book is definitly worth the buy!! I read the whole series in two days because they were so good!

Andrea This series was one of the beat series i have read in a while! TEAM ALEX!!

Laura I really like this book! I can't believe how it ended! I need to start book 2. I hope book 2 relieves my nerves! haha

Me too! I really need to find the second book...

Just feel the book and imagine yourself inside the story. Maybe you relate then. :)

Russelle Anne I also cried when I read the first book's ending. I can't stop thinking what will happen next or is Alex still alive or is Lena going to surrender to her society since Alex is gone. Almost all the time, I kept thinking of what will happen but now I am reading the second book and seems to enjoy. My heart always pounds when she and Julian is going to be in trouble. :)) I can't wait for the last book though.

This always seems to happen to me. The authors just leave you hanging on the last words. *Sigh*
Oh well. Good book, though.

You're right. I hate it when they leave me hanging like that, but still love the fact that you will look forward for the next series. :)

Jessica i love this book..... i LOVE Alex!!!! :)

message 20: by Lara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lara Scott I love the book. I personally thought that it had a really good ending. It tied up all the lose ends but it still made you want to know what happened next. It was also really artistic and i like the use of her mothers last words said to her.

Currer Jean Is it just me or does anyone else see Alex as a young DiCaprio? It fits for the lover roles he was playing in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Library!"

What? LOL ;p

Mirkat Heavy library user here! If I want to read something, I check it out from the library. If I think I'll want to read it again and again and again, then I'll buy it. :)

Russelle Anne Mirkat wrote: "Heavy library user here! If I want to read something, I check it out from the library. If I think I'll want to read it again and again and again, then I'll buy it. :)"

Then you should just buy it instead of going to the library and borrow again and again. :)

Mirkat No, I didn't mean that I keep checking out the book again and again. Most books I will check out one time and read one time.

Do you still buy the book after checking them out in the library? I would love to have my own library because here in the Philippines, there are no public library that have the latest books of YA. It makes me sad. :(

No, I don't usually buy the book after I've checked it out from the library and read it. Most books, I'll only read once, so there is no need. If I love a book enough that I'll want to keep returning to it, then I'll buy a copy. Sorry to hear about your library not carrying the new titles. :(

Yeah. It makes me sad though but when the time comes, I will make my own cafe with a library inside so people who comes and drink coffee can stay and read some of the books I will place. Most likely, the highlight of my shop will be YA Series. :P
