Jennifer Elizabeth (southrnbella6) I am a newbie to the mystery/thriller books. I read alot of sandra brown right out of high school and now im interested in gillian flynn, elizabeth haynes...just slowly scratching the surface. I saw a book at the used bookstore a while back (and of course when i went back it wasnt there) and for the life of me can not remember the title. The cover reminded me of Still Missing or Slated...i just remember a face...

I remember the premise was something a long the lines of two girls going to a party one friend left and something happened to the other friend (i cant remember if it was murder or kidnapping) and now they want to know why the friend really left.

I know that is really vague but maybe one of you have read that and could lead me in the right direction. and if you have any book recommendations just in general i would apperciate it. :) thank you!!

Joan | 94 comments Could it be a YA book? Not that that would help much. I once was trying to remember a particular author. I was in the library, couldn't remember her name, the name of the character, or the series. I described the main character to the librarian and she told me who the author was. You might ask a librarian. It's a shot in the dark, but you never know.

Kimberly - Katherine is quite right. If you want to promote your book(s), we have an Author's Corner thread and also a News thread where you can do so.
