You had trouble before with the Zon did you not? I wonder if you're just unlucky or if it's a Down Under thing.Congrats on your new release!
Yes, J.A., this publication was a case of third time lucky after they published it into nowhere twice. The only other person who said they'd had the same trouble was an Aussie, too, so you could be right about the Down Under thing. Maybe they're getting back at us for pestering them over the fact that we're the only ones not paid by Direct Banking yet? My Author Central page hasn't been updated since the beginning of February and they're still thanking me for my 'patience'. But the book's out now and it's selling, so that's the main thing!
Good luck with your promotion, Katie. The cover is fabulous and knowing you, the story and the presentation will be, too.
Thanks, Fiona! It's a nice feeling having people pick it up just because they read the last one and want to know what happens next.
Bought it just now.Great cover, and it has enough resemblance to Treespeaker to show they are linked.
Thanks, Dave. I was aiming at getting the covers similar. I already have ideas for the third story, but no idea what to put on the cover for that one!
My first review just came in, short and sweet:http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
This reader gave Treespeaker five stars, too.
But he PMd me to tell me he found one typo! Darn!
I greatly appreciate the fact you used the word "faff" in your post. More people need to use that word. I'm looking forward to Obama using it in a speech. "Ask not what you can faff for your country..." Congrats on getting the new book out!
Thanks, Christopher.Yes, I love the word 'faff'. It has all the strength of the word other people tend to use in its place, but without the offence...at least, I don't think so, unless it has a meaning I haven't heard.
I didn't realise faff was an international word! I thought it was just us here in Darkest Afrika who used it. :D
Congrats Katie.
Congrats Katie.

"When twelve-year-old Zanarr learns the secret of his birth, he begins to wonder where he really belongs. After an earthquake devastates the Tribal Gathering, others, too, question the wisdom of allowing him to stay. But when his attempt to save someone's life goes dreadfully wrong, there is no choice left to him. Now he must try to make a home outside the forest. Will he be forced to follow in the steps of a man reviled both in and out of the forest, in order to survive?"
It has been a long time coming and I'm very nervous about it, being a sequel, but I'm glad it's finally out there! Now working on the formatting for Smashwords et al.
