sheikh is in danger so sends messages to brother to take his place as the sheikh so he, (the sheikh) is free to find the ones trying to oust him. However, the messengers are slain before the message gets through to the brother.The messages are sent in code that they used as boys. A message does get through to the brother who takes the sheikh's place and is able to fool the sheikh's wife. There is a love interest in a girl from England who is a captive. I believe most of the book takes place in a middle eastern country, with some of it in England. My best guess is that it was published sometime in the mid 80's.
