That's a lotta green books, Gwendolyn! I stopped looking after I found my first 5. I have a LOT of pages in my Goodreads bookshelf, LOL!
Mango Tango Mini-Challenge #1 Green with Envy!
Shall I go on? haha
... apparently there are a lot more green books than I realized :D
We have one more member who wants to join the RaT.Jamie: 600 page goal
Which brings the Wild Blue Yonder total goal to: 13,700 pages

Added Jamie to the speadsheet :)
The first 8 hours of the Read-a-Thon were amazing! Thank you all for making this group a fun place to be!I'm off to bed now, taking a book with me, will try to read a bit before crashing down.
Happy Readings!
Sonia, can you be a dear and edit the first post in this thread to include the link to the Read-a-thon Spreadsheet? I can never find it!!! X)<3

Check post #3 :)
8 hours?! Ugh. I haven't read nearly as much as I should have. Too busy reading these games, putting on blue nail polish to go with my team name, looking for pics of the tasty Matt Bomer, other things that weren't reading that I can't even remember. Tsk tsk to me!

I'm anal. I created a Goodreads folder in my bookmarks, then in there I have a Cadet Blue folder and in THERE I have anything related to the RaT that is important (spreadsheets!) or team related things or ideas that I want to remember for our Tower Team stuff.

Books transferred to the nexus, off I go now!
Mini-Challenge #1: Green With Envy
Some of these are a lot more green than the pic shows. But, there they are. The first five green books I pulled off of my shelves.

I swear I looked through there like 6 bajillion times!!! X)
Teresa, Matt Bomer pics are a worthy cause!!! :D
OK -- I have a couple of questions:Re: Mini-challenges - are you expecting each person on the team to do this or just one person per team? Are you tracking these to give out points. (I have to say that some of our team is feeling a bit overwhelmed)
I have two team members that marked some books "read" in the final hours so their starting point page stat is off. I will adjust, but I have looked at their book stats and the new books are listed on the "view books" but the actual numbers are not updated. Do you guys know how long it takes for the book stats to update?
Thanks!!

Cadet blue had the same problem with one of its books. I'll have to explore that issue tomorrow, and think about a solution just in case.
About the points, the whole RaT is a bit overwhelming, and the amount of information is a bit too much to swallow in onde take. I'll try to do a keep it simple posto regarding the points, the phrase to retain is we only get points by reading books .
The mini-challenges are just for fun. Each team won 5 points for creating one, there will no be more points regarding the mini-challenges.
JoLene, I believe Sonia has gone to bed. I am unsure if she is tracking them or not. I do know that a Team received an extra 5 points for submitting a mini-challenge.
All I know is that she posted info here . It is supposed to be something fun.

OK --- good to know. I will pass on the information and mark it as OPTIONAL.Also, I will wait another day to adjust the points. I'm wondering if it's because according to GR, they were read on May 1 which causes the date read to be May 2013 (without the 1). Who knows!

Steven, I look through things a bazillion times, too and still things are hard to miss. It comes from looking at a bazillion THINGS a bazillion times, LOL! You start to get them all jumbled up. I swear, I have so many 'important' threads bookmarked, it's not funny. Okay, maybe it is.
And yes, Mr. Bomer is soooo worthy of a cause. Man, he's dreamy. Have you seen pics of him with his kids? *sigh* And his husband (I can't remember if he's married but whatever) is pretty cute, too!

Hm, I took this to mean we could use either virtual shelves OR tangible shelves. Hmmm... oops. I hope virtual counts. I have more books on that than on my shelves at home since I haven't really bought books in years. <3 my library.
Yes Teresa, I've seen them. I'm so jealous of his hubby! He stole my man!!! HahaThey're an adorable family.
