I'll admit up front that I'm having a blonde moment. Do we post our Team's goals and our themes here and PM the Moderator account with our mini-challenge?Thank you!
For now, I believe that is what Sonia want, Rebecca. However, she might make a thread just for Team goals. (She said maybe...) We'll see what she decides.

~Read-a-Thon Update~
The rule An extra 5 points if all the team members participate in the read-a-thon is officially excluded.
The Read-a-Thon will allow each team to win a maximum of 155 points, distributed as follows:
◈5 points if the team submit a mini-challenge idea till the start of the Read-a-Thon
◈Points for goal:
*1 point per participating member reaching goal◈Points for color:
*20 points if 50% of the team participating members reach page goal
*30 points if team goal is reached
*50 points if all the team participating members reach page goal
*1 point per participating member reading a book with the team color◈Points for theme:
*30 points if 50% of the team participating members read a book with the team color
*50 points if all the team participating members read a book with the team color
*1 point per participating member reading a book matching the team's theme
*30 points if 50% of the team participating members read a book matching the team's theme
*50 points if all the team participating members read a book matching the team's theme
The winning team will receive a 4 book advantage

For the color, does the cover have to be that color or can the color be in the title? It's probably already been answered and I'm just not comprehending things today!

Our team color is Mango. Sonia kindly posted a picture of Mangoes in varying shades of ripeness for us to have a reference point. :)
Our theme is "Read something you've been wanting to read for over a year." It started out as something that's been on our to-read list for over a year, but not all of us have been on Goodreads that long, and not all of us have remembered to add things to shelves immediately once we find we want to read something! So instead, we're reading stuff we've been putting off, books we have had lying around for a few years (I have had one for almost 6 years just waiting!!!) or books we've heard about and haven't gotten around to for one reason or another. :)

Moonstone is a stone of inner growth and strength and is often considered to be a woman's stone. We've decided that our theme will be a book with a strong female character.

I agree that it is a good idea to get rid of this rule. If I was a slow reader, I would worry that I might hurt the team by not participating. What happens if there is a tie between teams? Do all the winning teams get the extra 4 books? Or will there be some sort of tiebreaker? Maybe the team that guessed closest to what it could read?
Turtlecollector...I think this was covered in the private Mod group; I think Sonia will probably split them, if there is a tie.

I have a quick question. If a book can count toward two different things...say for instance someone from the Purple Mountain Majesty Team reads a book with a purple cover that has their theme(witches), does it count toward one or the other and not both? I'm guessing yes, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Sorry.. more questions! I'm sure I've seen the answer to this somewhere but... what if there are no page numbers listed for that edition? Do we go to the page numbers thread and get it changed?
I think LK or Sonia told us to use another edition of the title, if possible. I know I saw the post somewhere..
There is one FAQ regarding this but I don't know if it works for you:6. I just realised that members are going to have to match their book edition to the one that they are reading, in order to get an accurate page count. If there isn't a book that matches the one you have, the member or the captain will have to add the edition to GR. Am I correct? How lenient will you be with the pages? Must they all match perfectly, or if they're out by 10 pages is it okay?
They don't have to match perfectly. For instance if the kindle edition has no pages but the paperback does, and if you don't mind having a different edition then choose the paperback.

If I am unable to do that, I will at least make a ruling on the book, so you have a post for reference.

Team Cadet will post their info tonight. I'm at work and also I'm still waiting on a response for some members to respond to PMs I sent yesterday asking if they are participating. I think I will PM our mini-challenge idea now though just so it's not forgotten. I was hoping to get a few more opinions on it but only a few of us have been actively posting in our read-a-thon thread.
