Brittany | 106 comments The main character and narrator is a teen boy. I'm not sure if he starts the story knowing he is a clone or not. (This is not The House of The Scorpion, though that is a great book.) I believe I read this one around the same time as House of the Scorpion, so around 2003-2004.

His computer talks to him (I don't know if this is a setting or if the computer is written as a sentient character) He is secluded from the world because cloning is either really new or unheard of or really illegal, I don't remember which. His parents are scientists whose son died at a young age and they cloned their son to make the main character.

In the end I think he ends up revealing himself to the world. I wish I could remember more detail. If anyone has any ideas that would be lovely.

Brittany | 106 comments Haha! I didn't even know there was a book called Bump. :)
I was just bumping the thread to see if anyone new in the group might know of this book. I'm the original poster, and I still haven't ID'd the book I'm looking for.

FlowerFairy | 70 comments There is a series of books written by Mary E. Pearson titled The Jenna Fox Chronicles. The first book - The Adoration of Jenna Fox - is a great deal like your description with the exception that the protagonist is female. However, the next two books include a cloned male.

FlowerFairy, I read the Adoration of Jenna Fox a few years ago. I had no idea it was a series though, I'll have to check them out, thank you as well!
