I am fan of YA sci-fi fiction books, and I want to know, is this book worth reading?

The plot sounds awesome and the title instantly drew me to it, but I'm not sure whether or not I'd be wasting my money. So please, can you give me some advice?

Cheryl At my age maybe I should be reading "The Peoples Friend" but I found this book enchanting and certainly for me it was worth the money I bought a paperback and kindle edition so I could read at any time.

chinami definitely:D

Hayfa It's definitely worth it! And the best part about the Night Circus is that it's really easy to get into! :) I'm not a particularly fast reader, I like to really enjoy books, but I couldn't help but devour this one! The plot is very captivating!
Hope this helps :)

☯Emily Ginder I enjoyed it and I usually dislike fantasy.

A lot of people rated it 2 stars...

Xdyj I think it's a very well written book, although not as interesting as Mechanique: A Tale of the Circus Tresaulti or Nights at the Circus.

Well, they're too critical. I'm not going to say it was the greatest thing I've ever read (I really don't have an all-time favorite book anyway), but I certainly count it among my favorites for the year.

Okay. I trust you all, I shall read it :D

Sthep Yeah! Really liked it :)

E. Yes yes yes! This book was amazing, not really YA though. More adult fantasy/mystery. GREAT book... but now I want to go to the night circus and it doesn't exist...

Cheryl I agree with all the people that have recommended you to read it. Go for it . Another book you may like to try or perhaps have read it is "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" completely different but a wonderful world is created by the author.

Beth I would recommend this book. It's really original and even thought at times it was a bit slow for me, it was still a good buy.

Eat.Sleep.Lift.Read. I have been meaning to read this book for ages. Might crack it open this afternoon...

Abigail YES!!!

Agree Completely. Liked Night Circus, but found it hard to get into. Daughter of Smoke and Bone was fantastic! Or try Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Another great YA fantasy with added element of creepy photos...

Rebecca Yes! I really loved all the decriptions and how well you could picture everything. I think I am going to force my sister to read it and I hope you do too :)

Aprile This book was written in second person which is almost never done. It reads as if it's a dream. If you like lyrical writing, if you want it to seem like poetry or a picture then you should Definately read it. I do think that the romance aspect is a little bit of a stretch, but I could feel the circus atmosphere perfectly.

Sofia2p Absolutely definately yes!!

What the hell is 2nd person???

☯Emily Ginder I don't have the book in front of me, but I don't believe it was written in second person.

Cheryl 1st person is - I, me
2nd person is - you, yours
3rd person is - they, theirs
hope this helps. The book is written in the third person except a small section in 2nd person

☯Emily Ginder What part is written in second person? For an excellent example of a book written in first, second and third person, read Leaving Atlanta. The author tells her story with three characters, each in a different voice. The one section written in 2nd person is eerie, but effective.

Cheryl There are short chapters written "anticipation" and "charming but deadly" to name two. They remind us that the narrator is telling US a story and keeping us included in all that goes on.

Ugh... Okay, thanks.

Louise Rigby Yes it's a fab read

Alyssa Yes, for the descriptions alone it was worth it.

Lorna Scott It's lovely, but there isn't really a plot. If you're intrigued enough to ask, then it's a yes, you should.

Cathy Yes - I loved it. Couldn't out it down! Enchanting!
