Thanks for the book.;)

The dichotomy in reviews has been staggering! Unless people have been fibbing on their profiles, so far it seems...
Men have rated the book 2 stars or less, some didn't even finish the book.
Women have rated it 3 stars or higher and have shared interesting notes and observations.
If there was one thing that seemed common amongst all the reviewers, is that there was too much suspension of disbelief required, characters needed to be more interesting, and the writing still needs some work (over use of similes).
Well I just wanted to let you all know that I've taken your feedback to heart and am already some exercises to improve my craft. The chocolate banana simile is going to haunt me until the end of time, but I'll be damned if I make the same mistake twice!
I'm just happy that I was able to introduce a new super heroine in a genre where the majority of super heroes are male. It was definitely a title that had some problems in the production process, (which I'm documenting in my blog at thesilverninja.com). But I was happy to see that most people feel that there is potential with this character.
Especially the female readers, I really wanted this heroine to be for you, ladies. I'm going to be doing a lot of homework for my next book, and will practice improving my writing on some horror short stories before I tackle the sequel. I picked horror because there tends to be a lot of visuals associated with horror, and I have always wanted to write something scary. Hopefully, dabbling in this genre will be good practice for the action heavy sequel to Silver.
I'm very grateful to all of you who took the time out of your busy schedule to review my book and I hope that I can blow your socks off with the 2nd book.
If you have any questions about the book (but I'm pretty sure most just want to see if I can really improve on my second book) feel free to visit the GR group thread or message me online. I'll be posting updates on my horror short story attempt and useful writing tips at my blog, so feel free to stop by.
Thanks again,
Wilmar

Title: The Silver Ninja
Author: Wilmar Luna
Genre: Science Fiction/Young Adult (Superheroine book)
Formats Available: Mobi, Epub, Pdf
Pages: 362
Synopsis:
Life was good for New Yorker Cindy Ames. Sure, her husband’s top secret weapons projects were a little… weird, but at least her career as a gymnastics instructor didn’t involve any covert government contracts. Cindy’s life was peaceful. That is until she snuck into her husband Jonas’ lab after hours. What began as an innocent curiosity catapults her life into an exciting thrill ride, as Cindy accidentally merges with Jonas’ prototype nanosuit. Like a teenager stealing her parents’ car for the night, Cindy becomes an armored super heroine known as The Silver Ninja or so she thought...
She soon discovers that the suit is not at all what it appears to be. As it secretly blurs the line between good and evil, Cindy unknowingly becomes more aggressive, violent and apathetic to the world around her. Cindy becomes her own worst enemy as she plummets into a downward spiral of psychological oblivion. To make matters worse, she must prevent a violent coup d'état from erupting in New York City. Cindy will have to suit up and fight through an avalanche of futuristic weaponry to stop more innocent lives from being lost.
But can she overcome her personal demons before becoming the villain? Will Cindy be able to save herself in time to save her family?
