I'm a UK based fiction author. Originally I trained as a nurse, specialising in psychiatry, before I had the chance to do what I'd always wanted to do, which was to be a writer. I wrote short stories and serials for magazines worldwide before having my first novel published in 2013. To date I have twelve books out, including the Father of Lies occult horror trilogy, Hidden Company and Baba Lenka.

I was adopted by a military couple in 1952 in SC, and we moved many times. We returned between transfers to our family home in New Jersey where my grandparents lived, and there I attended kindergarten, 4th, and 8th grades, through high school. I am married since 1983 and have one daughter. My two grandsons are fast becoming adults.

I'm native to Connecticut and had a 25 year career working in theater. Professionally I'm a scenic artist, but I've done almost everything there is to do in theater, from props, to stage managing to directing. I feel that my experience in theater has helped me to write dialogue and body movement.

I write on the east coast of Ireland and have been at it since 2001. I'll happily pen both fiction and nonfiction (hey it's all words) and am a columnist, author, and blogger. I also mentor the Ireland North East region for National Novel Writing Month every November and actually enjoy the challenge of writing 50,000 words in one month while helping my local writers to reach their own word count.
