Lianne (eclecticreading) What is everyone reading at the moment? =)

I am currently finishing up a galley copy of Edward Rutherfurd's Paris: The Novel and started reading Henry James' What Maisie Knew (after seeing the trailer for the modern adaptation starring Julianne Moore and Alexander Skarsgård).

message 2: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (thevalerie) I'm reading Orson Scott Card's The Worthing Saga, & it is fascinating but I've been making slow progress because I've been busy with other things lately. :-s

message 3: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (bobynofthebooks) | 2 comments I'm just starting The God Argument: The Case against Religion and for Humanism on my e-reader, but I'm crazy ADD when it comes to books, so I'll probably be throwing City of Dark Magic and Blood Kin into the mix as well.

message 4: by Molly (new)

Molly Skywalker (princessgeek86) The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho. I started it in January and just haven't got around to finishing it yet :(

message 5: by Disi (new)

Disi (danicaandrenos) | 3 comments I'm currently reading three books 1)The Book Thief. Which I didn't think I would like because I'm not much of a fan of reading stories that I know will not have good/happy endings but it's very interesting. I love the narrator and the story is good.
2) Beautiful Creatures My best friend just read it and so I wanted to read it so we could discuss it and then see the movie.
3) Virals I saw the synopsis and I'm very interested in the scientific side of being a werewolf.

Lianne (eclecticreading) Glad to hear that you're enjoying The Book Thief Disi! It's been a few years since I've read the novel but I heart it =)

I've started reading a rather eclectic number for this weekend: an ARC of Michelle de Kretser's Questions of Travel, Soren Kierkegaard's Prefaces: Light Reading for Certain Classes as the Occasion May Require, by Nicolaus Notabene: A Work and Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life As A Weapon (so excited to read this one, I've heard so many good things about it)

message 7: by Trina (new)

Trina (190nerd) | 2 comments I just finished Cold Days and I'm going to read Ender's Game starting tomorrow

message 8: by Capri (last edited May 02, 2013 11:35AM) (new)

Capri | 3 comments I just finished The Diviners by Libba Bray and have Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn sitting next to me ready to begin. Just waiting for my current hold list at the library to be complete so I can then read the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare.

message 9: by Lianne (new)

Lianne (eclecticreading) I've started reading Lauren Graham's
Someday, Someday, Maybe, Jose Fuentecilla's Fighting from a Distance: How Filipino Exiles Helped Topple a Dictator and...well, I'm still sort of staring at my to-read pile (it sort of ballooned in the last few days *blushes*)

message 10: by Lianne (new)

Lianne (eclecticreading) I am currently re-reading Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings as part of a read-along. I've also started reading Susan Wyler's Solsbury Hill: A Novel of Wuthering Heights for a change of pace (before I start reading some of the heftier books sitting on my shelf xD)

message 11: by Gothica Noctua (new)

Gothica Noctua (gothicanoctua) I'm on a big poetry kick at the moment: I'm reading the works of Virgil along with Dante's "Divine Comedy".
