Kristina (spaz_girl) Here is where we can discuss any part or aspect of Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan.

Rachel | 4 comments Just finished. I'm not sure where to start. I loved both books in this volume. Sullivan has an excellent way of making the reader feel like we're only just getting started. I plan to keep going with the series.

Great Rachel - glad to hear it. Please let me know what you think of the others...to be honest...the best is yet to come. I designed the series so that each book would be better than the one before so that means the first is the "weakest link" and the last one is the best ;-)

Nice! Thanks so much.

Casey Stewart (skelanimalsluv) | 25 comments I just bought all three volumes yesterday and started reading while at work on my lunch hour. And let me tell you, even the first four chapters got me hooked and I didn't want to put the book down. I can't wait to get deeper in to the story. Great pick and great read!!

I already said it somewhere else: these books are evil. Usually you want to read just a couple of pages of them right before going to bad. Next thing you know, it is 3 am and you do not want to read a couple of pages more; you need to read more :)

Casey Stewart (skelanimalsluv) | 25 comments I know what you mean! I didn't get home until late last night and wasn't able to read until I was physically in bed. So I read a couple chapters and then put the book on the floor and slide it across my room so that I couldn't reach it. I knew that if it was in arms reach I would have picked it back up and read until the sun came up. LOL

I agree with all thse people three chapters in and I really do not want to put this down! It's been so amazing! Lets hope it true that it continues to only get better by the page!

Casey Stewart (skelanimalsluv) | 25 comments I was such a dud all weekend. I kept telling my kids to go outside and play so I could read. LOL

Michael (michaeljsullivan) | 84 comments Thanks James,

It's always great to hear that someone enjoys what I've written. I'm honored by your praise.

Kristina (spaz_girl) A few days late, but I FINISHED!!

Really, really enjoyed it. Dare I say love? Maybe... I can't think of a single aspect at all that irked me.

Although I figured out the big reveals (except Thresh killing the beast) before they happened, I didn't feel at all cheated when they came about in the book, and that says something.

I love all the characters, except of course the ones we are supposed to hate; yeah, I hate those ones. Royce and Hadrian's banter kept me laughing quite a bit. Their friendship is inspiring and I am really looking forward to seeing how it all began in The Crown Tower later this year. Thrace and Arista are great and I look forward to seeing Arista try to help Thrace navigate the Church's plans for her. Esrahaddon, what can I say? He's a wizard. He is intelligent but vague, powerful but limited, and I look forward to seeing where he wandered off to. Again. Haha

Note to author: I always wait a day or two before writing a review, so "Review to Come."

Eric | 2 comments Great read! Started a little slow but it needed to in order to get so plot background going. By the end I was laughing, cringing and crying.I'm gonna go out on a limb and disagree with kristinas assumption that Hadrian is the heir. Instead I think he's descendent to the guardian of the heir. His fighting and training and need to protect seems to me more a guardian stance, but I've been wrong before lol. Looking forward to the rest of the books tremendously!

I thought of that last night after finishing it, in that space before sleep overtakes you. You're probably right.

Casey Stewart (skelanimalsluv) | 25 comments I had a jam packed weekend and wasn't able to read much. I have about 100 pages left and all I want to do is finish it. But sadly, stupid work gets in the way. Good thing is that I've already bought all the June books so I'm ready to go once I finish this one :)
