I don't think it will come to a surprise to anyone that I have an intense phobia of planes/flying

Oh and I am mildly claustrophobic and don't like crowds. I am just awkward me:)

Better not come near our house, Taco.

Oh lord. I'd be hiding behind something (no doubt you or your lovely daughter/wife).
I hate making phone calls. Takes me ages to psych myself up for them. In fact I'm currently in the process of completely ignoring the fact I need to ring someone but I have until Friday to do so.
I also hate people dressed up in those ridiculous costumes - like bears/cartoon characters

I'm currently trying to break the fear.
I also do not like the odd looking costume store character things people dress up in. Actual park ones like at Universal or Disney are fine though cause they actually look like the characters and not some half melted floppy grotesque version of them.
Got over any hang ups about phone calls when I worked as a receptionist for my Uncle and then for Toyota during their recall. It's surprising how racist Brits can be to a fellow Brit yet be more than happy to speak to a south African *jerk*
Seagulls in Aberdeen actually size you up to judge whether or not they think they can steal the sandwich right out of your hand. Thankfully this has never happened to me but one did sneak up behind me and steal the paper that my sandwich had been wrapped in. We'll not have an outdoors picnic if you come to Aberdeen Elle!

Clowns/costumes - yep
Lifts. Crowds. Going on boats/plains/trains... and not too smitten with car journeys especially motorways (tho happier now in my lurverly campervan.)
Hate phoning people.
Oh, and spiders. Not phoning them, obvs.
But, on the plus side, I'm ok with birds. Have even rescued them when they've come down the chimney :)

I really hate tall things looming over me - not big buildings - I once had palpitations having to walk past an old wrecked oil tanker in a field - the rusty tank - I hate oil drums too. And sails - sweeping sails soaring above me.

I used to find heights disturbing but I seem to have got over it.

Needles, heights, clowns, small spaces, crowds, spiders. Blood makes me feint, but I'm not sure I'm scared of it

A seagull once stole my Mothers ice cream when she visited me in Wales. One distracted her and the other dive bombed for the food. It was hilarious (because it wasn't me). She has been particularly bitter about birds ever since.

A philia?
hydrophilia is the opposite of hydrophobic

thanks for that, a joy to watch ;-)

working our way through the possible Greek words for love, hydroerotica is probably something different again

I also enjoy his Driving Instructor ("the BLUE flashing light distracted you?"), and the chat with Walter Raleigh about the interesting things he's brought back from his trip.

I should point out that I'm not fond of spiders, but it's the black house spiders that I have a phobia of
Oh, and my uncle used to have a phobia of wetwipes...

eurgh.
enough to give me a phobia too

Having moved back to Scotland we don't get anywhere near as many as when we lived in the south of England but I would gladly suffer in return for some better weather;@)
