N_tops | 1 comments My memories are a little sketchy, I read a few of the books in the 90s, and would love to revist them. The main character was a Gunsinger with a religious title.

Facts I can remember from the books:

At some point he comes across the wreck of the Titanic, balancing on a mountain peak.

A recurring enemy is a band of lizard like men.

There is an element of time-travel / shifting worlds..

.. In one fight his advasary states there is only one man faster than him, the 'Missionar Man' (or similar name) to which he replys 'I am the missionary man' and uses the moment of shock to out draw the younger/quicker gunslinger.

One of the books feathured the lizard men on the cover. It was an old book in a charity shop in the 90s. So I'm guessing it was published in the 70s/80s.

My memories were sparked by reading Stephen Kings Dart Tower series, but most of the key points I can think of (bar the lizard men) lead to the Dark Tower.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Rob | 83 comments David Gemmell's Wolf in Shadow.

The hero, Jon Shannow, is called The Jerusalem Man. All the other bits fit too. There are sequels and it ties in to other series of Gemmel's.

Rob | 83 comments This is either abandoned or solved. "Wolf in Shadow" is sooo the right book, though.

Let's call it Solved. From Wolf in Shadow:

"Oh, my God," he whispered. "The Titanic!"....
"It is sailing an identical course to that which destroyed it when it sank with the loss of 1,500 lives...."
"The ship is on a mountain. It cannot sink."
...
Shannow awoke on the rocky ground a half mile from the marble ruins and found himself gazing up at the Titanic.
