Kate (kaitlins16) After doing a test run for this challenge, I have made some modifications. A few people seemed to like it, though.

Here's what you do:

1)Post a list of 3-5 books that you want to read (preferably ones that you already own or that you can get easily).

2)Wait until someone picks a book from that list and tells you to read it. Anyone is free to do so.

3)Now, the book picked for you is the one that you need to read. I challenge you to get it read in at least one week.

4)Post your review on the review thread so others can read what your thoughts were on that book. (Note: this isn't required. However, I recommend it because it adds more to the challenge, other than just reading a book.)

After you finish your book, you may post more books for someone to pick a book for you.

So . . . why is this a challenge?

-This challenges you to read a book when someone else tells you to. Instead of picking the next book to read yourself, you give that choice away to someone else. Sometimes, someone will pick a book on your list that you would have kept putting off.

-The recommended time limit challenges you to read it in that allotted time.

-The review challenges you to voice your opinion about the book you have just read.

Post your lists in this thread, as well as any questions you have about the challenge.

Post your reviews here --> http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

message 36: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) *Rika* Bookworm4eva ∞ wrote: "Yea. Why??"

You can submit Divergent into our Themed Challenge this month. Since it's a BOTM, it can be counted even though its not a magic book.

message 37: by ErikΔ (new)

ErikΔ | 82 comments Okay
But is it still counted since I started the book in April??

message 38: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) As long as you finished it on May 1 or after, then it counts.

This is why I picked Unravel Me for you. I had a feeling Divergent was going to be a BOTM.

message 39: by ErikΔ (new)

ErikΔ | 82 comments Ohh... Unravel Me wasn't a BOTM for April right?

message 40: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth ok I'm just trying to figure out what to read and maybe something new so any one want to pick a book it can be off my TBR list or not IDC anything

message 46: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Hmmm . . . go with Legend. A lot of people seem to like it.

message 47: by shrish (last edited Jul 09, 2013 01:12AM) (new)

shrish (orshay) I'll have to place an order at the library this Friday, then. Legend's my pick-it-for-me-challenge July. If I order it from the library this week, it'll come by the next, so till it arrives, I think I'll issue the City of Glass.
