Catlow question

A medium Louis L'amour, i.e. a good book, but he has written a lot of better ones, like the full Sackett Series.

As always, it depends on the reader and what the expectations are. This is a typical L'Amour Western, with bigger than life characters and adventures. Abijah Catlow is everyman's cowboy, and Ben Cowan is the quintessential true blue, defender of the law. It's a "goodread."

I agree with Kaj. This is one of my least favorite books of his.

agreed. I believe that this is one that he originally did as a short story for a pulp magizine and added to for the book. it would probably have been better as a short story.
