Below is a list of forum members who have books available to lend. Click on their name to be taken to their Goodreads lendable shelf.

If you would like to have your own shelf added to the list, simply leave a comment on this thread and make the request. Please specify if your lendable shelf should be filed under "Kindle" or "Nook."

As soon as it convenient, a moderator will add your link to the list and then delete the message containing your original request, so as to keep the thread tidy.

Please view the “Instructions” message in “Our Kindle/Nook Lending Library” folder for the steps you need to follow as either a lender or a borrower. Thanks!

Charles (chuck-e) | 306 comments Hey Fred,

I don't know if there would be enough interest, or owners, but @Emilie and I (at least) have Nooks, and they have lendable books as well.

I get as many of my m/m novels on my Nook, 'cause I likes it better than my Kindle, but for/if people out there who might have Nooks, I have a fairly extensive library (and most of the books are able to be lent - although I've never done it, so I don't know what the limits on numbers of times a title can be lent, etc.)

So, there's that, if you guys are interested. I'm not sure about @Emilie, but mine are just sitting there.

I am completely unfamiliar with the Nook lending system, but I assume it works somewhat like the Kindle's?

Okay, I'll make some alterations to the messages in this folder to allow for the inclusion of Nook titles. Nook owners will still have to create a lendable shelf here on Goodreads---so anyone requesting that their shelf be added needs to specify whether it is a Nook or Kindle shelf.

Mercedes | 379 comments Hi Fred,

I think it is very similar. Lendable books on Nook are labeled with "LendMe" on the upper right hand corner. People need to click on the "LendMe" button and enter the email of the person they wish to lend the book to and send it their way.

Emilie (neyronrose) | 457 comments Edited October 2015: I have quite a number of lendable Kindle and Nook books now, as of October 2015. Besides m/m romances and other books of GLBT interest, I've also gotten a lot of straight romances and mysteries.

I have added two bookshelves to sort out my books further. "m-m-Nook-book" to go with "Nook-lending-library" and "m-m-Kindle-book" to go with "Kindle-lending-library." If the shelf labeled "m-m-Nook-book" also has the label "Nook-lending-library," I can lend it out. The same with Kindle books, only it's the combination "m-m-Kindle-book" and Kindle-lending-library."

Karl---I've added your list to the lending library as requested---thanks very much! But you'll have to enable your Goodreads messaging feature in order for people to contact you, to ask for any books. (You'll need to make a change to your profile settings to do this.)

Kelly (Maybedog) (maybedog) | 5 comments If you want to borrow a specific book, there's an easier way to borrow it than to check every shelf. This may sound complicated but it's easy, especially after you do it once.

On the book page, look to the right hand side to the section that says "genres." Click on the link there that says "see top shelves." Just do a search (ctrl-f on a PC) and search for either "lend" or "kindle" or "nook." (I just search on lend because I have both platforms.) If you highlight all, you can see all the shelves on that page and there are usually more pages that may have lendable shelves listed. To the right of that shelf, click on the link that says, "5 people" or "1 person" or whatever. That will bring up the list of people who have that book with a link to their profile and to their lendables shelves in case you want to look at those, too. Some of them have hundreds of books.

Just send the person a message. This way you can also borrow from people not in this group. There are 10,000 something people in M/M Romance and several thousand in Erotic Enchants as well as other groups and many of them have lendable shelves, too.

You can add my shelves here:

kindle lendable

nook lendable

Thank you!

Thanks for the additional information! And I've added your lendable shelves to the group.

Emilie (neyronrose) | 457 comments Octobercountry, could you please add a Kindle lendable shelf for me? I edited a message I posted above to explain how I've sorted out my lendable Kindle and Nook books in two ways each. For the purposes of this group, it might be easier to link to my "m-m-Kindle-book" shelf and let people cross-check it with my "Kindle-lending-library" shelf, to narrow it down.
