I have to say Im not in love with it. Im making the artist go over it again. I hate to be "that guy", but I feel as if I'm paying for it, I should at the very least like it. I kinda preferred the second draft to be honest,as raw as it was. But I knew it wasn't done, so I was hoping his next attempt would be something more in the means of something I'd like.

Im posting it on both my blogs.

Tom Krug (thomas_krug) | 26 comments I do like the idea of the cover. It looks like a solid concept. It just needs to be pulled off better. As it is, the picture looks very pixellated.

I agreed. I choose this artist because I liked his work. Not sure why it's coming out this way,but I have been asking him to fix it.

Im not good at determining what to ask for in art,all I know is it looks waxy to me. Is that pixellated? What words would you think I should use to better communicate that I want a much rawer image?

Tom Krug (thomas_krug) | 26 comments I think you're looking for better shading on the skintones, and possibly an actual skin texture. I see he did a good job on the palms (you can see the lines and all) but you're right, the arms look a little flat right now.

When I say pixellated, I'm talking about the fingers on the caucasian hand. On the tips, you can see pixel blocks.

I just gave my artist the tips you gave me. Perhaps the next draft will be to my liking :)
