Who would you cast if there was a movie? (1st book)

to be honest, I really dont want it made into a movie!!
If it was, I eould hope the lead characters are unknown actors and not current big names!

So weird that you would ask this! I'm currently involved in a mega, mega discussion with some other people about our dream cast of another series of books! I really don't want it made into a movie, but its fun to create your dream cast!

I don't really know who would play. All I know is that he would have to be tall, dark and handsome, but not in the traditional sense. The only thing that comes vaguely close is that guy who plays Kili (I think) in The Hobbit because in all the posters I've seen he has that brooding look that I always picture Cadvan as having. I think though it would have to be an older actor, so not someone who is too fresh looking.
What about you Adrianja? Any ideas?

Isn't it strange how two people can read the same book but picture completely different things? Thats why I love books more than films! The images in my head that I get when reading are uniquely personal and even though I can discuss what I read with other people, its still a completely personal experience at its core.
Wow that was more philosophical than I thought I could be at 2 in the morning!

I'd agree with Becky too. Still, I couldn't get rid of Viggo Mortensen's face (Aragorn in the The Lord of the Rings) whenever I read about Cadvan: same sense of an experienced, slightly world-weary but sympathetic character.
