I read this book in the late 90s or early 00s. It was probably aimed at teenagers around fifteen, but that's just a guess. I remember the title as "A Candle in the Wind", but since I haven't been able to find a book by that title that matches...well, that may not be helpful!

Anyway, from the very small amount that I remember about the book: he has a motorcycle. Her mother does not approve. At some point they end up in bed together and I think her mother finds them. The book would probably best be described as contemporary YA romance.

I can't find out much about it, but there's a book about high school romance called "Candles in the window" by Carol Beach York. It is described as "A Heavenly Romance," if that rings a bell. It was published in 1982.

This probably isn't it, but A Candle in Her Room was published in 1966.

It's definitely not A Candle in Her Room. I'm not sure what "heavenly romance' is, but I'm guessing it's not that either (I seem to remember it being relatively long? I mean, I was about 12, so not War and Peace long, but 139 pages seems short). I wish I could find a cover picture, though.

Finally read The Wind Blows Backward, and that seems to be it. Good grief that was an angst-ridden book.
