I'd wondered about that. I've also wondered about the amalgamation of eBooks and paperbacks too. Amazon are a funny bunch sometimes.
I've seen my reviews from Amazon.com pop up on the UK site, but no, it didn't count in their score.(I wonder if it looks a bit funny when I post to both sites and people can see the same review twice?)
I'd actually be interested if they pushed this further and maybe had an option to view the ratings/reviews a book got on the different sites.
I post reviews on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, because there was never any guarantee they would be copied across otherwise.I also post reviews on B&N.com and Nook UK, but when I check Nook UK, my comments are recorded as Anonymous every time, even though I sign in to post the review....
Happened to me in reverse. Awhile back I had a great review (for a different book) posted on the UK site that did not show up on Amazon.com. For months I didn't even realize the UK review was there. And yeah, it didn't count towards the .com rating.

This is Robyn from Amazon Communities. Our Customer Reviews feature doesn't link reviews across Amazon.com and the International Amazon sites. However, we do have a feature that spotlights reviews from Amazon.com on international Amazon websites for the same product. While the reviews are spotlighted, the votes and number of reviews don't count toward the total for the listings on international websites.
If you want to find out more about this or other Amazon.com features, please visit our Amazon.com Site Features Help pages:

Customers may write their reviews on each of the Amazon sites if they would like their reviews to appear on more than one site.
