It may not seem like what you're looking for at first but then it'll become...(don't want to reveal much) exactly what you need.

Oh Goodness i thought the darkest Pleasure was awesome, Reyes and Danika will always be my favourite characters with a close 2nd being The darkest Kiss Anya and Lucien...."lots of circumstances there"
YUCK on the BDB series.
I started to suggest Witch World, because that has a MAJOR "not able to be together" problem, but I'm not totally sure that they are "fated" or not.
How about Maddy Barone's After the Crash series? Sleeping With the Wolf is book 1. Not all of them have the rejection, but enough that I think that you will enjoy the series.

Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian
Argeneau Vampires by Lynsay Sands (Humorous)
Sentinel Wars by Shannon K. Butcher
Mark of the Vampire by Laura Wright

I'm actually looking for a buddy to get into this series with me, let me know if your willing to give it a shot, fingers crossed that this 3rd book (coming out august!) is all that I hoped for.
Aline Hunter Alpha and Omega Series. (Omega Mina, Enemy Mine)

I read book one in the Crash series, " Sleeping with the Wolf". The heroine was well written and believable, the story cute. But I hate the world , it sounds awful! Post apocalypse, with women stealers everywhere, no Internet no telephones no modern medicine, and she's stuck with the whims of pack law where if her alpha husband is beaten in a battle, she's at the mercy of new alpha. I would hate being stuck there and feel so bad for any future heroines, so I can't read the series.
But the whole point of "after the apocalypse" is--things ARE hard. And believe me--that is NOT the worst of the "after the apocalypse" books that I've ever read.
Some are just totally scary, things are so bad. And believe it or not--the worst one I ever read was a YA book. Others have the people trying to rebuild some kind of a civilization, which is what is going on in Maddy's world. So, while hard, it certainly wasn't as hard as say, the Scottish Highlands, 1300. Or the North American Atlantic seaboard, circa 1606--when Jamestown was settled. The people still have knowledge, they still have doctors that actually KNOW what they are doing. They have libraries. Yes, it's hard, and yes, being a woman isn't easy. But then again--being a woman was NEVER easy until about 1925 or so, when "modern medicine" actually took hold. As an example--my great-great-granddad (b. 1842) was married 3 times, because 2 of his wives died as the result of child birth. The 3rd actually succeeded in outliving him--because he cut his foot with an axe and died of the infection from that.
Perhaps I didn't mind the hardship that the women were going through in this series because I'm a historian. I KNOW what life was like for most of the world when you go back more than 75 or 80 years in the past. We as a culture have gotten soft and don't remember the past. And just exactly HOW HARD IT WAS to survive in that world.
Lol, I don't remember what it was that I was reading the other day (possibly Driving Mr. Dead) but the heroine thought to herself that the hero was being somewhat stuck up about being the younger son of a baronet or a baron (he was a vamp) while she herself came from a long line of. . .people who had SERVED people like his father.
But even for the wealthy and titled, life in the past wasn't easy. They just stood a better chance of surviving because they were the first ones fed, they usually had better housing, and, if there was any type of medical help, it went to them before to the poor.
Um, ok, I promise to get off my historical soapbox now and return us all to our usual fun and enjoyment from reading our books.

No no I get it, and I've read other post apocalypse books that are worse than the world here. What irritated me I think was that she went from having a career to staying her room, eating and playing music. She had no real role and I don't know how she could be happy with that. I also don't like the forced marriage premise, the girls are basically told to suck it up and make the best of it because hey you could've had worse.

The heroine is a half elf/half shapeshifter whose fated mate is a vampire prince. She initially rejects him because he is a vampire and she was abused by his evil cousin.
Hope this fits.

has that sort of thing going on. :D

It's more of a fantasy/scifi romance than paranormal/urban fantasy though
Still pretty good
World building is amazing
On the Fever series--be thankful that it's finished before anyone suggests it to you.
I
wasn't warned, and, well, those !#$!# cliffhangers were NOT fun.

lol, I'm so sorry Ann! I couldn't even imagine reading them as they came out--I won't start series that aren't finished for that reason, haha!

I am trying to find a series, and I can't remember the name or author (read them at the library lol before ebooks)
Four brothers, each have a special mate.
The youngest brother, his story was last.
He is killed in the "real" world and sent to Hell. His mate, he met in a bar, she smelled like cookies!!! they had hot steamy sex and then she was gone in the morning! She turns out to be his guide to get out of hell.
Any suggestions APPRECIATED :)
Hum, Kimberley--Someone else was looking for this book (or at least a book described exactly the same way.) Have you posted a request for it anywhere else? Like say the group What's the Name of That Book??
http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1... is the thread for that group. If you didn't ask for it, do a search in that group. I think that it was solved, but I don't remember what the book was, since it was one that I hadn't read.
