Valerie (thevalerie) Probably Les Misérables! It is my favorite fiction story of all time. Besides, it's huuuuuge, so that would help. ;-o Hitchhiker's Guide is so short!

Molly Skywalker (princessgeek86) Yeah, but I love it that much!! :D

Valerie (thevalerie) At least say you'd bring one of those compilations of the whole series! Have you read And Another Thing...? It's pretty good!

Disi (danicaandrenos) | 3 comments This is a truly difficult question and I'm not sure if plays count if they do then mine is Twelfth Night. If they don't then mine is Pride and Prejudice

Valerie (thevalerie) Plays are awesome.

Read the following question in a non-judging tone, because when I ask people why they like something, I don't mean "you shouldn't like that thing": Why do you like Pride & Prejudice?

Mirakel Mayoral (shadowlyte) | 1 comments It would probably have to be either Emma or Pride and Prejudice. Any Jane Austen novel, I think. They are definitely food for thought.

I love Pride and Prejudice because of a lot of things. I feel a connection with Elizabeth because she's not the type to sit there and let people treat her badly however, she's not completely a jerk about it. I think also because it reminds me that I can be a little bit of both Prideful and Prejudiced especially towards people without really knowing them. I like that while both of these characters have these major flaws they try to overcome them and forgive each other and sometimes others of these and other flaws. I mean really if Lydia had done something so awful I would probably have called her out on it in a really mean way and then probably wouldn't have spoken to her again. Yet, Elizabeth is said to allow her to come to her house and help her out whenever she could. While, Elizabeth may not be rich or beautiful boy does she have spirit and gumption and I totally respect that. In case you couldn't tell I'm very character driven. I also love how Darcy respects who Elizabeth is and loves that about her. He's not trying to dampen who she is or turn her into one of those ladies who says nothing he lets her speak her mind. That's really awesome and really rare I think for people in that time period and even some people in this time period.

I hope that answers your question. Sorry, for the long post.

Lianne (eclecticreading) Only one book? xP

For me, it has to be Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, hands down. Every time I read it there's always something new that I notice about the story, whether it's a detail about one of the cultures or a line said here or noticing the story from a different character's perspective.

HelenLee | 1 comments Gone with the Wind. As it is, I reread it periodically. I love the descriptions of everything. & I always read it a little differently.

Rebecca (amperrlee) | 1 comments The Hobbit! It's my all-time favorite book, and I already read it at least once a year :)

Robyn (bobynofthebooks) | 2 comments I adore seeing the Douglas Adams love out there. My one book would actually be The Salmon of Doubt. It's a posthumous collection of some of his non-Hitchhiker's writing, essays and musings and the like, plus the beginning of what might have been the next Hitchhiker and/or Dirk Gently novel.

Trina (190nerd) | 2 comments That's a tough one. It's a toss up betweenPride and Prejudice and really any Stephen King short story collection.
