Any guidelines?

Hi... sorry to start a new thread, but I was wondering if there are any group guidelines? About posting books to the bookshelf, for instance? Or promoting your own books?

These are good questions, and ones I'm realizing I should have addressed earlier on. So as for posting books to the bookshelf and promoting your own books, I have to say no. I've seen people posting books to the bookshelf and typically I just end up taking them down, not out of any dislike for the books, but because just organization wise, I want that to be a spot that just documents the books we've read together as a group. As for promoting your own books, folks are always welcome to shoot me an email (jill.guccini@gmail.com) about their own books, many people have in the past, although I can never guarantee that I'll actually have time to read/review/recommend them, as my reading schedule is simply becoming busier and busier. But as for the actual group space here, I'd love to have it be a spot for readers to discuss only, as opposed to authors.

And lastly, don't apologize for starting a new thread--while I oversee things, I definitely encourage people to start their own threads or ask whatever questions they have!
