I'm reading Island of the Blue Dolphins, but I'm not sure whether I should read the City of Bones series or The Hobbit then LOTR. Help!!!

Ok, so I'll stick with LOTR for now ... but here's a question, why the Hobbit after? It was made before the former was. Well, the books anyway. Do most people read them in that order? I'm so confused!

If I'm being annoying, just say. I don't want to natter on about things more than I have to because I know people don't like it.

I think most people read The Hobbit first, actually. My grandfather is a die-hard LoTR fan and he always told me to read The Hobbit first when I do get around to reading that series because it would help me to understand the concept of LoTR a bit better. Hope that helps! :D

I just finished Legend and I'm now reading Plague by Michael Grant and continuing to read Scarlet

Awesome. I think I'm going to stick with chronological order and read the Hobbit then LOTR. It just makes more sense to do it that way.

I'm going through the books, annotating them, highlighting favorite quotes, and at the end of each day post on my status a divergent moment of the day, each day I try to incorporate at least one thing divergent related. It's crazy, but I'm a crazy and obsessed fangirl lol!

Haha, it's cool. I'm totally obsessed with things too. Lately it's been Heroes of Olympus (okay, it always hoo) but I'm also obsessed with Bloodlines, The Lunar Chronicles, John Green, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Divergent. And probably a lot more than just that!

I'm feeling a John green obsession coming on. I love TFioS, and I think his crash course videos are hilarious, and incredibly helpful concerning AP world. My other obsessions include: Harry Potter (of course), Hunger Games (not so much now, but still awesome), Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables. The lunar chronicles was good but I didn't absolutely love it.

I really need to read Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. I actually have owned Phantom of the Opera for a while, like a year and a half. I really need to read it. Maybe I'll read it soon. It sounds kind of like a halloween book. As for Les Mis, I loved the movie but have yet to read the book.
