Jo (jobriggs) | 38 comments Hi there,

Currently I have a book series called Broken Strings on Goodreads under this Author Profile under my real name, Jo Briggs. Only book one (No Strings) has actually been published - the other six haven't in any shape or form.

I am currently in the process of rewriting that first book, and when it gets re-released it will be under my pen name Adalynn Quinn with the new title (Broken Strings) as will the rest of the series. I have also renamed the series - Fusion.

My question is:- should I put my pen name into the published book record as a secondary author so that the edition under my pen name can be combined with my real name edition or should they stay separate? The book has the same characters, but its content is double the size so don't know if that has any bearing on whether they get combined or not.

Thanks :)

Actually, the name it was originally published under should be the primary author for all editions of No Strings/Broken Strings.

The series name has been updated. (But only overall, not on individual books.)

Jo (jobriggs) | 38 comments Ok but am I safe to put my pen name as a secondary name on the first book in the series as that is the one that has been published?

Then for all the remaining books in the series be amended to my pen name as the primary author as they have not ever been published under the name the first book was originally published under?

That all sounds fine.
