Time to nominate your additional monthly reads for June.

These nominations are open to any book; you can keep with the Goodreads Choice Awards theme and nominate a runner up, or just nominate your favourite book, or a book that's been on your TBR pile for ages.

Please note a new rule for the nominations:
- Please do not nominate a second (or later) book in a series read (as members of the group may not have read the previous books).
Your nomination will be not be counted if you do.

- When nominating please make sure you include the book link or book cover link. This can be done by clicking on the ' add book / author' link above the comment box.
Your nomination will not count if not in this format.

- Please refrain from nominating any book that is already scheduled to read as part of the Goodreads Choice Award Book Club. These can be found at http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...

- Only one nomination per person will be accepted (if more than one is nominated, the first book posted will be accepted).

- Nominations will close on Sunday 21st April, 5pm GMT and will be followed by a poll.

There's a few of us with that one on our TBR lists. :) I have most of June out of school, so I plan to read that one and The Fifth Wave, regardless of which book wins for June. :)

@ Karlee - Cinder was very good too. I read that a few weeks ago and I'm reading Scarlet (the second book in the series) now.

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments I've decided on not nominating this month, especially, that Lynn nominated the very book, I would like to vote for :D Thank you, Lynn. Hope it wins, but I also added The Fifth Wave as it sounds really interesting looking at the synopsis. I will read it most probably later though, as I have rather busy June, having the school year's end in Poland, and writing certificates for my students.

It's been on my TBR list for a while now. I just downloaded it this weekend. I've added the other two book nominees to my list now as well. They both look good!

I want to read this book too. Nominated it for another group I am in and it is being voted on now and has taken the lead in the pole. But I also thought it would be cool to read a book published this year

Cathie (catitude) | 1511 comments I like all the nominations we have for June! Great choices:-)

My only reason for not nominating something new is that if a new book gets chosen, not everyone always has a chance to read it, especially those who get their books from libraries (usually a long waiting list for new popular releases) and 2nd hand bookstores.

It's going to be so hard to pick one book from all the great ones nominated so far :-)

Cathie,
I hear you but at the same time this group is for 2012 Goodreads choices so most of the books are still very new and hard to get second hand. I really just scored though because I went to Goodwill last week and got book 1,2,3, and 5 of The Dark Tower series

message 30: by Cathie (new)

Cathie (catitude) | 1511 comments Lucky you Sarah! Now, you just need to pick up #4. What a great score you got!

The series reads are a bit better in picking up books because the books leading up to the Awards Winners are older :-)
