Savanes Ok this is VERY hard to choose. I think this group is insanely good at nominating!

.... and now my monthly obsession with checking the poll 34565 times a day starts again :D

Empress The maze runner is more of a Young Adult, and it's not bad, but it is not a book I want to read the rest of the parts. It's quite adventurous, but not very intriguing.

Life after life seems very interesting, But I wouldn't mind Cinder as well.

message 5: by Jenny (new)

Jenny "Cinder ",is my choice for june reading. Jenny A Marissa Meyer ;Cinder : Lunar Cronicles # 1

message 6: by Michael (new)

Michael Ooh, Cinder has been on my to-read list for a while!

message 7: by Divya (new)

Divya I vote for "And the Mountains Echoed" by Khaled Husseni :) I have already pre-ordered my copy on Amazon. "The kite runner" and "A thousand splendid suns" had me hooked.

message 8: by Bruna (new)

Bruna The Repeat Year sounds fun! I would have voted for Life after Life but i just finished reading it!

message 9: by ElvenRaven (new)

ElvenRaven I've read The Maze Runner and I loved it! Now I'm going to check out the other books and make my final decision, I have a feeling it's going to be hard.

I do that too! :D

message 11: by Brightness (new)

Brightness They all look good, but I've been dying to read Cinder for ages, which is a goodreads nomination. It also leads up to Scarlet which was released this year and will probably be a goodreads nomination as well!

message 12: by Kristie (new)

Kristie Mod
This happens every time I need to vote. There are so many good nominations I'm not sure which to pick. There are two on the list that I am planning to read in June regardless of whether they win or not and others that I'd like to read eventually.....Decisions, decisions....

Brightness Kristie wrote: "This happens every time I need to vote. There are so many good nominations I'm not sure which to pick. There are two on the list that I am planning to read in June regardless of whether they win or..."

I know! I want to read most of them anyway and will regardless of which book wins. :)

message 14: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Mod
Kristie - Which ones are you planning to read anyway?

message 15: by Kristie (new)

Kristie Mod
I'd like to read The Fifth Wave and The Repeat Year. Hoping to get them both read in June, which would be easier if one of them won. :)

message 16: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska Kristie and Karlee, I'm in the same situation, I've got some of the books on my TBR already, and I'm decided to read them anyway, later this year, and this time, as I promised earlier, I voted on The Repeat Year, but Life after Life and Cinder are on my TBR list, together with Maze Runner and The 5th Wave.

Yes, half of them are on my TBR list so I'll be getting to them eventually.

message 18: by Kristie (new)

Kristie Mod
I also have The Maze Runner on my TBR and I'd like to read Me Before You, The Kitchen House, and maybe Life After Life as well. I hope to get to some of them eventually! I've already read Cinder. It was a good read. Definitely a YA book, but very good.

message 19: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska Oh, yes, I forgot Me Before You, I also added it to my TBR, sounds really interesting.

message 20: by Cathie (new)

Cathie The Maze Runner is an awesome series! One of the first that I got hooked on via Goodreads :-).
Me Before You has been sitting in my book box saying read me, hey don't ignore me, for the last month, lol. I've heard great things about it, and I already own it, so...
Then again I've heard wonderful things about the Kitchen House too....urghhhhhhh....decisions, lol
Good Gravy, there are so many goodies to choose from.
My TBR list is not heading in the direction I intended it to go :-)

lol Cathie. My TBR list just continues to get longer every month. The more I read, the faster it seems to grow!

message 22: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska I hear you Cathie, every day I add something new to mine, mainly due to recommendations from our group, there are so many good books that I would like to read, what helps me with my reading schedules, are buddy reads :), it's easier to follow some plan and make decisions about the order of reading

message 23: by Kristie (new)

Kristie Mod
I try not to add everything I would like to read, but eventually they all seem to make their way onto my TBR list somehow.

message 24: by Chris (new)

Chris Underwood I read The Kitchen House, and for those of you who liked The Help, and haven't read this book, I highly recommend it! It's a similar genre as The Help, but a bit more involved with characters in terms of heros & anti-heros~ also, good little sub-plots, and agendas throughout!

message 25: by Kate (new)

Kate I've gone for the repeat year. Me before you was really good, had me bawling like a baby!!

message 26: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I will stick with what I nominated - And the Mountains Echoed. However I also have recently purchased Life After Life on my kindle and The Kitchen House. Me Before You I might like to read too.

message 27: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Heinzman Crap! All of these are good! I read Me Before You already and I highly recommend it - best book I've read in 2013, so far. So which one to choose? Hmmmm......

message 28: by Donna (last edited Apr 21, 2013 02:01PM) (new)

Donna I'm going for Life After Life, which is on my TBR list already. Really looking forward to reading it, even if it's not chosen. Me Before You is on my TBR also. I just finished the Kindle free chapters (1st 70 pages) of the 5th Wave. It's written from the point of view of a 16-year old girl, and although the story is interesting and of universal appeal, it is clearly a YA book. Cinder is also a YA book. Question is, do we really need to do another YA books so soon? A little variety maybe?

message 29: by Savanes (new)

Savanes I voted for Cinder but I want to read Life after life, me before you, The kitchen house, and the mountain echoed...

message 30: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Heinzman I went for Husband and Wife, but The Repeat Year is my 2nd choice.

message 31: by Jojo (new)

Jojo I voted for Life After Life. But I want to read so many of them! I actually just got the Maze Runner audio book from the library.

message 32: by Laura (new)

Oh Donna I agree.

message 34: by Laura (new)

Laura Lynn wrote: "Kristie - Which ones are you planning to read anyway?"

Previous to voting for Life after Life, I was planning to read Cinder, and The 5th Wave already, so there is three more books to add to my "currently reading" list.

message 35: by Kristine (new)

Kristine Cuevas my vote goes to 'Me before You' :)

message 36: by ☆Kiran☆ (new)

☆Kiran☆ I can't choose.... They all sounds like good books!!

message 37: by ElvenRaven (new)

ElvenRaven I went for The 5th Wave, I'm in the mood for some alien dystopia. However, I'm going to read (someday) Me before you and Life after life. My TBR list is growing too fast for me to keep up!

message 38: by Cathie (new)

Cathie Cin wrote: My TBR list is growing too fast for me to keep up!

Keeping up with my TBR list ~ that's a good one roflmol!

message 39: by Bonnie (new)

Bonnie Kernene I chose Cinder myself. Sounds interesting and I am looking forward to reading it, even it if does not win.

message 40: by Becky (new)

Becky Wow that was a super hard choice. That saidim so much more excited for this club now

message 41: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Clearly down to 2 choices - Cinder and Life after Life so I recomend people change your vote to between the two. A vote on another book wont matter. It is like the presidential election in the U.S.

Savanes Sarah wrote: "Clearly down to 2 choices - Cinder and Life after Life so I recomend people change your vote to between the two. A vote on another book wont matter. It is like the presidential election in the U.S."

Haha good analogy Sarah!!

message 43: by Cathie (last edited Apr 23, 2013 01:40AM) (new)

Cathie There are still 5 voting days and we have over 3000 members in the group so I'm not rushing to change my vote; I've seen things change around on the last days in polls on Goodreads and only 325 members have voted so far.

message 44: by Ella (new)

Ella hard choice! I went with Cinder ;D

I agree. I can't remember what the top two were 48 hours ago but it wasn't the two up there now, so things can change!

Michael I can remember what they were 48 hours ago. They were same top two as now. But it would be cool to see all 3000 members vote. Maybe I will change my vote at the last minute depending on where my first choice falls in the polls. Hey if my second or third is doing better in the polls it is a better strategy to give them my vote.

message 47: by Michael (new)

Michael Wow, 3000 votes, that would be cool! I didn't think Life After Life was in the top two at the beginning because I had not heard of it, but I could be wrong. I do remember it was behind by 30 votes yesterday and now they are tied!

message 48: by Cedric (new)

Cedric Dela Cruz Looked up all the choices (I haven't read any of those) and I found Life After Life the most attractive (at least for me). Cinder looks cool too, I'll probably read that after my choice :)

message 49: by Aimée (new)

Aimée I've read Me Before You already. It's a story unlike anything else. A story that will make you think things through..

I don't really know how to describe how good it is, except that I've started reading Jojo Moyes' books after reading Me Before You, and I've never been happier.

message 50: by Cathie (new)

Cathie Aimee, Me Before You, just got pushed further up on my reading list :-). I really think it's time i took it down from my bookcase and opened it's cover.
