For a lot of people, this is a hard decision, but I was just curious as to what the majority of people would choose.

For me, it wasntI like TID better, i just like the setting and characters and plot better :/ But TMI is okay
to hard to choose cuz the even though they are 2 different books, they are both tied together. so i cant choose. i love them both! <3
I love both of 'em but I personally favour TID. I'm fascinated by anything set in the Victorian era so it wasn't that hard of a choice for me.
I like TID better beacause it has a better plot, and beause since its during the Victorian times, everything is more, beautiful. Like whenever someone wants to express their emotions in TMI, they just say it right out. But in TDI, they say it in a way that makes me wanna cry cause its so beautiful
Hmmm. I fell in love with TMI but I had a relationship with TID. The characters in TID felt more complex, the storyline was fast paced and engaging and I invested more into the series. I'm a little bit heartbroken that there are no more stories with Will, Jem and Tessa, but I think it works better as a trilogy. Looking forward to my next date with Jace in COHF though...
The Infernal Devices, because simply i like reading those kind of books. set in the old days, no modern technology, it gives you a hint of how hard life...and love life was back in the days. The Mortal Instruments doesnt hook me that way...
I just finished Tmi...at least what there is so far...and started on Clockwork Angel. I Loved TMI and am a big fan of all the characters, especially Jace, Simon and Alec. I'll let you know what i think of CA but so far so good! :-)
It's really hard to choose because their similar but really different. But, I have to say TID because I'm in love with Will. DON'T GET ME WRONG!! I'm dangerously obsessed with TMI. Those series are my favorite 2
I used to think TID but the third book absolutely ruined it for me. I guess I'm leaning towards TMI now.

I love TMI, but I Love SOOOOOO MUCH TID !

I absolutely love both! But if I had to choose, I think I'd pick TID. Just the relationships between the characters sucked me in. I was on the edge of my seat, watching Tessa, Will, and Jem become so tangled up with each other, waiting for the end where it would somehow straighten out. The setting didn't hurt either. :) I don't think I've ever cried or felt so many emotions before in any other book I've read! Since I hate to read books over again, I knew it was a good series when I finished Clockwork Princess and the very next day I began to read it again!

Si? Me encanta Will y Jem pero Will un poco mas!

TID all the way. Will tops all fictional characters. Except for maybe Sydney Carton...this series got me to read a classic! Definitely TID.

Well a mi me gustaria hablar ingles fluido xd Sometimes i hate living here, los libros tardan years en ser traducidos.
No aun practico, pero si puedo manejarlo soo good , i read the books in english >.< ... hey pero manejas mas que lo basico in spanish, true?
Honestly, with the exception of Jem and his relationship with the characters and his interesting disease, I really didn't care for The Infernal Devices. I would have to say that the Mortal Instruments is better. As terrible is this is going to sounds, I never really enjoy the plot of any the books. I am more interesting in the characters. The plot tries to hard to be a romance novel that it becomes suffocating. So it is easier and more enjoyable to watch the characters evolve. There were just more characters to like in the Mortal Instruments: Simon, Alec, Magnus, Camille, Maya, and that other werewolf whose name is slipping my mind.

Jordan Kyle hahaha Even though I disagree with you about de plot, I do think you're right about de characters evolvement.

Me gustaría aprender español.

it's still pretty amazing at the middle of the first book. I didn't get bored... I'm still trying to finish it. I let my friend borrow it before I finished and now she's killing me about it!!! it's driving me crazy.
The Infernal Devices. I loved the characters more than the ones in The Mortal Instruments and I was always captivated by the books. I liked how TID wasn't just told from Tessa's point of view too
^ True. Like in Mortal Instruments, you're wondering why Jace is a total jerk, and your wondering if you'll ever realize when...
So I just finished CP1 and about to start CP2. I still have to say I love TMI more...much more. Having said that though, CP1 was still one of the best books I've ever read. And I can't wait to read CP2 now. I'm going to read that simultaneously with Divergent because I've been wanting to read that for a long while now. We'll see how that goes...one book I'm sure will win out and become the dominant read of the two.
Oh also wanted to add...I started CA as a Jem fan, and that didn't die in CP1. I still adore Jem and prefer him to Will. Though I do like Will a lot, I think Jace is the Herondale that I prefer. I LOVE Jace! He's my fave character of all Cassie's books so far. And I know TMI is a series I'll definitely read again soon. I've already read the beginning of COB a few times because it seems to be at the end of all the other electronic books I read :-) It never gets old though... Question for all who read CP2...was anyone a solid Jem fan until CP2 and then switched to Will? Just curious.
Priya wrote: "I like TID better but the beginning was extremely boring" I agree...CA was very boring to me...though I still read it quickly. I can't even really remember what it was about. I loved CP1 though...just starting CP2. Did you read TID or TMI first? I wonder if that plays a factor in which series people prefer.
