So again with the point of role playing being fun, in real life do you politely ask if you want to 'join in' because technically that would make NO SENSE. Why would my character be somewhere? That's my business! Why shouldn't they be? What is the point?
Transition I get, but do you really have to write everything up to if they spit on a tree?
Those rules are way to uptight, I'm a home schooled, Digital artist major, who calls Disney World my second home because I go there so much. DO I SEEM THAT UPTIGHT TO YOU? Didn't think so, so since I would rather HAVE FUN than try to deal with your ridiculous new rules I shall leave. I haven't been here long so it probably doesn't matter much, but seriously that is absurd.
I have a question for you in particular Tea. What is it with all the brand new ridiculous rules? What happened to having fun? I get that you want things to be nice for everyone, but you're starting to go too far and take over a group that isn't even yours. This new 'ask before joining' is silly. The point of Role Play is to have an impossible reality with impossible people. When was the last time you saw someone ask before walking into, anywhere really, and if turned down walk away without question as if they were never there? The point of going somewhere with a character is to randomly toss them into conversations and hope it doesn't blow a hole in the universe. You're not supposed to plan two months in advance like you do a vacation, you just go along and write the story as it happens, and if someone or something comes in and it interrupts your planned story, get over it! Just read what happens and type! With every new rule you make because of one little thing you didn't like, this group becomes more and more constricting, and less entertaining. IT DOESN'T EVEN BELONG TO YOU. And I SWEAR TO YOU; If you delete the posts of mine and Tessa's, I will personally send them to G.
You guys don't seem to comprehend a small rule.
You can enter a topic whenever you want. But I see people interfering with other people in annoying ways. Feel free to walk into the cafeteria and chill out, but it personally ANNOYS OTHERS when you just blatantly enter into someone elses conversation.
Example would be two characters having an intense discussion in an alley, for example. A lot of people like to just barge in and introduce characters without even asking, immediately interacting with others. THAT IS ALL THE RULE PERTAINS TO.
Is it REALLY that hard to just say, "hey, can I join in real quick guys?" before starting to RP? That's literally ALL THE RULE ASKS YOU TO DO. THAT'S COMMON SENSE.
For an example, you can look in the alley topic. Before I burst Eton into the area, I just asked the other two RPers if I could have him join. Half of you seem to do it anyway, why is it so frustrating that I made it a solid rule?
When have I EVER deleted posts? Like WHERE ON EARTH did that come into your head? I have never deleted anyone's posts, except in the Character Sheet topic, where I simply deleted spam as not to overwhelm new members.
Jesus, you guys start a rebellion at a single rule that merely asks people to ask before joining.

Also, another note: I'm not the one making up all these rules. Me and Tara often discuss them before I post them. Tara contacted me on the newest rule asking me to post it because she was on her phone. So please don't think I'm the only one implementing these rules. Seriously.
You guys! Really, cut this a break! Look, I tested to see something right? I go and post in the transformation classroom and nicely, Katie said, "Please don't barge in!" It does annoy people! And then also, if you think about it, when you are Rping with more then 2 people, it's a tiring search to find all the post that relate to you in the midst of all the other!
Yeah, I was just about to go haywire when I saw you post that, Tara. I thought you were serious... But I completely stand by you guys. I don't think it's that big of a deal and everyone is blowing it completely out of proportion. The 'ask to join' thing is something that should have been done from the start so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Honestly guys, just calm down.
XD Lol, I know, I had to see though a real life example for someone to see it :D
It's just manners. Usually when you ask, people don't have a problem with it then!

So in conclusion, here's our response. We do value every member here but if you really are going to go to G, who I respect and will leave the group if she asks, go ahead. Because honestly, with all the work Tea, Helen, Maniac, and myself with many others put into the plot, I would say that many of the major events will die down. SO we want you here. It makes the finale all the more exciting.

I was seriously about to go off of you! I was like, "That is so hypocritical! What the fudge?!" Except, you know, stronger language. So glad I put off on my rant and rave. That would have been awful. You're right, I didn't even think about the plot. Everything would completely fall apart. And I wouldn't want you guys to get deleted or removed; that'd suck all the fun out and then it's be a wasteland.
This is the first group that I have ever been in where people ask before placing someone, somewhere. Roleplay is supposed to be fun, and now this group is becoming more about order and politeness than entertainment. If you get so annoyed when someone is trying to enter a character into a conversation, maybe you should not role play, because normal RP consists of a lot of that.
Well I like RP that is advanced and this is the first group thy wasn't so I'm used to having manners by asking.
This was my first Roleplay period and I don't see the problem at all. I mean, come on. It's two sentences! That's not that much! What is the problem with that?
I've never been in a group where people don't just ask before jumping in. I always thought of it as common courtesy to ask before just blatantly interrupting two people going through dialog. They might have even discussed how everything was going to go via PMs earlier. RP is really fun to improvise, that's what 60% of it is, but there's also the 40% of stuff that has to be discussed and planned earlier if you want things to run smoothly and not run into a bunch of dead ends.
Sorry Tea, but you have your percentages incorrect. 85% of most RP is improvising, and 15% is planned. The point of RP is to write the story as it happens, as I stated before. Planning is sometimes good so that you know what is going on for important things, but it is even funner when you have no idea what is going to happen next. It's like reading a book as you help write it, and that is how it should be.There is no reason to have to ask. Most people are intelligent enough to know when someone is in the midst of something which pertains to that character's particular story, and even then half the time it would not be difficult to include someone into that story, even if it is for only a few posts. Other than that, just tossing a character in should not be considered something to get annoyed about. I've never been ticked by someone doing that, but maybe that is because I'm not so uptight about the smallest things.
Okay, well it bothers most people, and we don't plan on catering to a single individual's needs. It seems as though only you and one other person actually are having difficulty with a simply rule that literally takes less than a second to follow.
Yes, because obviously I've done hours of research to compose those calculations. No need to take something so seriously.
Lizzie, if you don't like it that much, if it's really bothering you, you can leave the group. I wouldn't really like that to happen, because you've added a lot to the mixing bowl, but if you really feel this strongly about something like this, keep in mind that option is always open.

But it's the way people enter! You have two people putting five sentences and then they get interrupted by a simple line with no length or grammar.
I didn't comprehend the first question...
Yes. At least...well....
Basically, this group is advanced so we don't want any short characters!

I think the new rules are pretty reasonable. Me, I have mostly villains, which means they categorically kill people. Because people seem to be offended when villains come up and kill their charries, I've developed the habit of asking funny things like,((Can I be evil here?))
I also tend to not say that the blow connects and leave the other character some room to escape. I sometimes forget that with Fredrick, but that's because I've designed him to be the perfect killing machine and if every one of his blows missed, then perfection would be pretty lame.
It just makes sense.
Exactly.
Note: I have two supernaturals available for killing.

I'd like to save one for battle, preferably Viatani, I think her name was. She's a shapeshifter (lion).
Ramona is a supernatural that (I think) has the power to turn invisible, if I remember correctly. But those are my two I'm willing to kill in any way. I already have plans for Sammie and Seb.
Oh, I also may want to kill of Eton in the big battle of awesomeness.

This huge battle is going to be so sentimental. I'm going to feel awful killing off my charries, but I'll get over it. I'm thinking about killing Brielle but I'm not sure when to do it or how. She's a werewolf and she hasn't really done anything so I don't know why someone'd want to kill her...
I have Eton and Seb all planned out at the moment. I'm still unsure about how it's going to go for Sammy...
Maybe I'll take out Axel too, but he's my favorite at the moment so I'm not sure. And then I think maybe Eris (Ha! That's going to be interesting). Oh, I'm not sure where I read this, but the Hunters and Angels are in fact going to win the battle, right? But the school isn't going to be totally diminished and it'll be like a hidden rebellion. Let me know if I'm right on this or if I'm completely off course.
I'm fairly certain that's what's going to happen.
I'm thinking we'll have the renegade supernaturals, who go rogue right before the battle who'll survive.
Also there's always the idea of a students VS demons.
Seeing as the demons are only using the supernaturals in a way, they'll probably kill off a portion of them during the battle or after or whatever.
Perhaps after this the entire world just goes into all-out war, and it could be like a post-apocalyptic rp. >:D

Ooooo! I like the post-apocalyptic idea. That sounds amazing! Reminds me of this book called Angelfall with Angels taking over and ruling and stuff. But, yeah, sounds fantastic! I was actually thinking of that too, the whole demon thing I mean. We'd have to come up with some way to fit that into the whole post-apocalyptic thing (if we go with that). The Demons could always turn on the supernaturals at the last moment when they see they're fighting a losing battle. They could just slaughter them there. Oh! Or they could hold onto them through the whole thing and then when they finally reign in control and end the Angel rule, they could turn on them then and take over instead. Hello surprise conquest! Just throwing ideas out there.
OOOHHHH YESYESYES
Like maybe the demons would actually lead the entire battle, until the Angels decide to submit. Then the demons can get extremely cocky, and start by just killing the supernaturals left and right. Then the rest of the students can turn on them in turn with the angels, diminishing them. Then the Angels can do whatever they want with the rest of the living ones, perhaps putting some sort of spell or something on them to mute their abilities, but then it can wear out after like ten years, provoking the entire post-apocalyptic thing, seeing as they would have claimed themselves as normal humans, then all of a sudden they start turning into werewolves and vampires and whatnot in public, displaying their species to the world.
I feel like I'm taking this too far.

No! No, I love it! I'm sitting her eating this up! I love the random slaughter thing. If that happens, then I just found out what to do with Brielle and possibly Axel. Yay! I love this so much! I really hope I'm not the only one though because it'd be so freaking amazing! Oh, man. I can't wait to put this into action (when everyone else agrees with it as well). Did we ever decide on when we were going to initiate the whole thing? I mean, I know it's been built up for quite some time, but actually start it?
Well, we have to have (I think) at least three mini-battles prior to the event happening.
-First, an attack on the school by the Angels
-Second, an attack on Heaven HQ by supernaturals (fails horribly)
-Third, an attack on Heaven in general by supernaturals (goes very well)
For the third one, though, the demons have to get everyone on their side and put them all together. Then they have to create a horrible memory that everyone will remember, so they can all piggyback on one memory for the battle in regular Heaven. That way the Angels aren't fighting in their own environment. I'm thinking like kill a beloved character in front of them, (perhaps the headmaster, that would be interesting) or just torturing all of them slowly.

My brain is beginning to fry from the awesomeness that is being planned out. Now that I think of it, if Seb does go against the supernaturals... WHAT WILL HAPPEN BETWEEN SEBRA???
