So what did you think of Raid? It was my favorite book."
I have to be honest--I was disappointed. I loved Raid, but I felt like the book was rushed. It just seemed like there was more to tell.

Lol...Regina's on the DL, but she's got the juice!

apparently, they hated/felt betrayed that much...
i've only read the first book, so I can't comment on the series

I agree on all counts, especially Raid's background info. I feel bad for the characters when I think too much was left untold, as if there was an injustice done to them. Lol
I still enjoyed what KA gave me.I'd rather be left wanting more than sick of it before it's done!

I have to say, knowing how it ends has made me VERY glad that I made the decision to give up on the series a long time ago.

Yes I think she had a reaction to it -- but i haven't read it. Just read the spoiler, lol.

the same thing happened with Shadowfever - IIRC - someone leaked like the first 70 pages about a week before the release

That's stupid. Why do that to an author? So what if the series didn't pan out the way she wanted it. Shut up. LOL.
Haha Stacia. Curious.

Stacia -- LMAO!
I am such a loser. I haven't read more than 1 page a day and here I am on GR. :)

LOL!!! IT is funny how that happens.

I do agree with that Dee, I believe the author has power and we are along for the ride. I do hate when authors respond too much to readers but..... it really frustrates me when authors do not have their characters stay consistent -- like Alcide, Eric .......... (I am still ticked about Alcide. I loved that guy, but I am partial to werewolves).

I mean, I agree that it is the work of the author and they have the control. But I'm not sure that I think that they always do what they believe/think/imagine is best/most fulfilling/true outcome.
Sometimes I think that it becomes about making money, or getting that next book out quicker to capitalize on movies sales... which I guess is still about money.
I'm just not sure I believe that all authors are that noble and won't sell out their own work. Evanovich is a great example. She's still cranking out Stephanie Plums because it's her money series. She's pretty much come out and said she sees what works and why mess with what's paying her bills.
Singers do the same thing. Crank out albums fast to keep up with the fan frenzy and each album gets a little worse because there's less heart in it.
I'm not saying Harris did that, maybe this is how she saw the ending all along. Though, I will say that her books got progressively worse and more poorly written, and I do believe it is because she was trying to keep up with the True Blood craze.
I'm just saying that I think sometimes authors do sell out their own stories. For me, though, it's not about whether or not she saw it going there, it's more about what Regina said. The literary assassination of my favorite character. I gave up on the Dark Swan series for this exact same issue. She just crossed my personal line, that's all.

Regardless, it just feels... off to me. Guess I have to just push through.
I am *not* jumping into EiT book #3

And I couldn't stop reading Doritos every time I read Dorian Skotos.

Thank Google I now know what TSTL means. Time for some Doritos to celebrate.
I just started How (not) to Kiss a Toad. It should come with a government warning not to drive after reading this book. It's definitely making me more stupid and to be honest I wasn't high on the ladder to start with, but I'm still kind of liking it.

Maybe I'm out of touch but this book has a 4+ rating and I just can't see it.

I feel like that with Julie James quite a bit - she is good, but there is something missing - its like eating chocolate when you are hungry - it satisfies briefly, but then you want something more substantial

I feel like that with Julie James qui..."
Can't agree with you there Dee. Chocolate always satisfies me. Ha ha!

I know... oh man i'm so glad you're liking this series Tellulah. It's one of my all time favorites.

Oh good i'm not the only one who had to google it. haha!

So maybe it is the book and not the reader. I find myself (don't laugh Wendy and Leea!) at 25% in at

I feel like that with Jul..."
see, it only satisfy's me briefly...and then I want more...its not like one piece is every enough - so says my tight jeans...

Oh, i'm sorry you're not enjoying Gameboard but I feel better because it wasn't just me. I liked the story but I felt like it wasn't progressing.
