Is that Kenny and Savannah's book? That one is my favorite!

Eeeeek! That book is unskippable! It must be read no matter the cost! Lol

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Lol. I agree. Tellulah slowly out down #4 and move back to #3. :). Just some advice!

Leea | 1437 comments Yeah, you need to go back girlfriend because that's when these books became amazing for me. Ohhh how exciting you get to read their story...

I finished Breathless (Elemental, #2.5) by Brigid Kemmerer and I now want to read Hunters book, Spirit so bad. I have the ARC so if anyone else does and you want to read it together let me know :) **Cough Stacia** Couch Carina**

Now i'm going to read the first few chapters of Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle because i'm giddy with excitement for our first buddy read here in True Love but also because i'm super crazy busy tomorrow and I don't want to get behind.

message 158: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Ohhh Samantha that's another book I have coming up to read... Can't wait to read your review.

message 159: by Annette (new)

Annette Reading this one it was a freebie from B&N Hoping for Love (The McCarthys of Gansett Island, #5) by Marie Force It's a family series but I haven't read any of the other book and it still good.

message 160: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 419 comments Leea wrote: "Ohhh Samantha that's another book I have coming up to read... Can't wait to read your review."

Yeah. I stop reading the other book I was reading to jump in this one. I'll let you know when I post my review, Leea.

message 161: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Bonneaux (lovely_lr) Just ordered my next book. After you'de gone by Maggie Ofarell. Cant wait to get it

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments Samantha, I just finished that one. I'm most curious about Dominic now and hope he gets a book.

White Walls (Asylum, #2) by Lauren Hammond frustrated the hell out of me. I think I'm one of the only people reading this trilogy who doesn't like the characters, even if I'm interested in the story itself.

Snuck in What Really Happened in Peru (The Bane Chronicles, #1) by Cassandra Clare because it was short but haven't had a chance to add it here yet. I expected more from a Magnus story but it was okay.

message 163: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments FYI--there is an ARC available on Edelweiss right now, and it's compared to Outlander.

Here is the description:

For fans of Cloud Atlas and Diana Gabaldon's Outlanders series, a sweeping historical fantasy set in a re-imagined 19th CenturyKay Kenyon's The Empire and the Rose was hailed as a star-maker, a magnificent book, audacious, and the most ambitious science fiction epic of the current decade

In this epic new work, the award-winning Kenyon creates an alternate 19th century with two warring continents on an alternate earth: the scientific Anglica (England) and magical Bharata (India). Emboldened by her grandfather's final whispered secret of a magical lotus, Tori Harding, a young Victorian woman and aspiring botanist, must journey to Bharata, with its magics, intrigues and ghosts, to claim her fate. There she will face a choice between two suitors and two irreconcilable realms.

In a magic-infused world of silver tigers, demon birds and enduring gods, as a great native mutiny sweeps up the continent, Tori will find the thing she most desires, less perfect than she had hoped and stranger than she could have dreamed.

I can't put down book Sam and Joan! But I will not continue until I've gone back and read Kenny's book. Now I'm all flustered and excited. :)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Who me?! I am a bad influence! I'm at work now and look where I am!

message 173: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I have two trials and major briefs over the next two months, plus it is baseball/tball/softball/soccer season and my 3 oldest are on 5 teams -- that my husband and I are all coaching. So, I am trying to not post as much until the middle of June. After this week, I am actually not going to be doing any (supposedly, let's see if I can stay away) blog posts either. The other night I realized my very limited free time was going to posting - -and I felt bad for my kids. So .... that is why! So .... back to work. I will be poppoing in and out (b/c I am addicted and can't completely stay away), but I am hoping to just keep everything to a minimum over the next two months. It is hard.

message 179: by Jen (at last!) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 222 comments The Bane Chronicles are novellas. She's releasing them one at a time every few months.

message 180: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Regina!!!! It's bitter sweet because I totally undertand why you need to stay away but we love chatting with you.

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 222 comments Regina, we will look forward to seeing you back in a few months. :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments I finished Mind Fuck (The Administration, #1) by Manna Francis and it was okay. I think I am one of the only people on the planet who didn't absolutely love it. Too much suspense/thriller/corporate posturing for my preference, but I loved all of the sim/virtual reality stuff. It wasn't bad, but I skimmed a few parts to get to the parts I wanted to read. I'm thinking that Regina might like the book more than I did.

Starting The Rules (Project Paper Doll, #1) by Stacey Kade

Samantha | 419 comments Leea wrote: "Ohhh Samantha that's another book I have coming up to read... Can't wait to read your review."

Leea, I finished it. I loved it. Just loved it.

message 184: by Lori (last edited Apr 20, 2013 01:18PM) (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Regina!!! I'm sure you'll poke your head in every now and then. I look forward to when you do!

Finished City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare ... and I have to admit that there was a big enough twist to the ending that I did NOT expect! Which tickles me, because I usually see things like that coming from way off. Not this time - I was along for the ride.

I'm better than half-way through Flashpoint (Troubleshooters, #7) by Suzanne Brockmann , and it's not that it's not holding my interest... it's just that being sick, not much holds my interest. I'm finally feeling some better, and so I chose to finish up City of Bones and get into the Experiment in Terror book 1 Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle before diving back into Troubleshooters. But I'll finish off this book this weekend - I hope.

Really enjoying my 2nd read in EiT, BTW... picking up on so much more now that I've read all the books that are currently out in the series. And I'm pleased to say that the series and characters hold up!

message 185: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I finished Breathe (Colorado Mountain, #4) by Kristen Ashley , and I'm not sure what to read next. I want to take a Kristen Ashley break so I can get some sleep, but I don't know if I can!

message 186: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I just got back from my son's tball game...it was really hot out there. Back home now and hoping to finally get in some reading time.

I finished Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle this morning and I really liked it. I'm picking up Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2) by Karina Halle next...I just can't wait for another buddy for this. I need more Perry and Dex.

message 187: by Ladyhawk (new)

Ladyhawk Finished City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare and I have to admit that there was a big enough twist to the ending that I did NOT expect! Which tickles me, because I usually see things like that coming from way off. Not this time - I was along for the ride.
Yup! It's been at least a year for me and I'm still reeling. LOL!

message 188: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Kay, go ahead. I've read the book, and Ladyhawk has too. (I think she's on book 4 now.) Keep going in EiT... and we can discuss in that book thread.

I love talking about these books - FINALLY!

I have been thinking about what I wanted to read all day. After much contemplating I am in the mood for a good m/m book. So I am starting Second Time Lucky by Ethan Day . Ethan Day never disappoints.

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Can someone who has read The Unfinished Hero series by Kristen Ashley help me out? How similar are the books in this series? I just finished Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1) by Kristen Ashley and it was just OK for me. Does this series get better?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

message 200: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I finished Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2) by Karina Halle and The Benson (Experiment in Terror, #2.5) by Karina Halle . These books are great. Fast reads and fun but I have a feeling it's like a Agent Mulder & Scully thing....pay off will be later in the series.
