What are you reading?

Yay for Noah! I liked that one the best out of the series...but I love all the boys from 5th St.

I'm signing up for my first 1/2 marathon... The Nike woman's half in SF!

I agree Stacia, I enjoyed Wicked Cravings -- it wasn't as..."
Regina, I did read

Noah is a fun book. I think book 2 was the weakest, but I can't say I disliked any of the books so far. Book 3 is more NA than adult because of the character ages, but I like that the author doesn't have all of her characters in one age group.
About Dark Duet. It's very controversial. You aren't supposed to like the male lead because he's an abusive rapist. But the story is one you can't look away from, much like Comfort Food. The biggest difference is that in time, this lead character "sort of" becomes redeemable, whereas the lead in CF did not.
I've raed Gone as well. It took me 2 times to get through the book because it's sort of slow for a while before it picks up again. I liked it but haven't read on. It's one of those "maybe some day" things. Wendy is a fan of the series though, so she might be able to have something to add.

Gone has been on my list for ages and I still need to get back to the Ross siblings.
I'm working my way through

Also, if I were to think of a book to recommend to you that would NOT be one of them. There are books I read where I know which one of my reading friends will like it and which ones won't. This is a "Regina wouldn't like this" book, lol.

I'm glad you enjoyed Noah. I think her writing in this series is so much better than her first.

The method Kay described is what I did (I followed her lead actually after she posted she had done that). I used my twitter account to log in, not my facebook account and then it allowed me to search for "friends".

Marcella, I don't like complication either. I think it was the design look that enticed me to sign up for booklikes and to try it out.

I will have to check it out to see if it is worth the effort. I can barely keep up with GR as it is.

It doesn't run as smoothly as goodreads but I like the concept & setup so far. It has potential.

So when you imported did it build your shelves or did it just throw them all in one shelf?

The shelves get imported too.

Kay -- the Android app sucks. The Apple app is a lot better. I love the app on my iphone, I hate the app on my Fire. I am not sure why the apple app is better. Now that Amazon acqd GR, they need to get their Android developers on this issue!

It's probably me right now, but it felt like a lot of pressure to name a blog with the sign-in - LOL!
Love GR, so I'll be here no matter what. My books are still importing at Booklikes, so I'll see what the aftermath is post-import.
Into

Then again, I got laid off at work, so... I'm in a "mood". Trying to figure things out. Luckily, not in dire straits or anything. Just the hassle of having to find another job in a tough economy.

I agree, that is a huge issue. I usually just go to safari for that. I like how groups are now on the app -- and the inbox. Except I usually just email people.

I'm assuming it's going on behind the scenes at this point and I don't have to sit on the page anymore, lol.

And I, too, am noticing that the wrong books are in some of my reviews.
Hmmm... not sure about Booklikes right now.

My import took about 24 hours and when it was done, they sent me an email to tell me it was complete.

But I love the blog and I like the look of it, and I like the timeline. I'm still working it all out and I haven't physically posted anything yet but I think I'm going to like it.

I also like how HTML is easier for the posts.
But yeah the groups here at GR are unique.

I just want to know what Booklikes has that's different from here or would serve as a bonus.

I guess I feel like I spend so much time on GR as it is that doing it somewhere else seems like a repetitive time sink if there's not any new or different site purposes. Or is there something completely different other than reviewing and shelving to the site that I might miss out on?

But no, not really. I mean, it seems like a blog first, then it has shelves like goodreads, and a timeline like Facebook.
When people 'like' your review/blog, they are actually 'liking' it on their facebook instead of just a voting system on booklikes (which is what GR does). It's an actual 'like' facebook button, if that makes sense.
Also, it's got a pin it button. I'm not sure if you can pin a goodreads post, never tried.
But I suppose those would be the only things that I think is REALLY different from Goodreads.
I'm not sure I think you're missing out by not joining. I joined because I was curious and thought it looked nice and would tie back to my Goodreads with a button. Plus it would reach others.

Lori, I'm so sorry honey! I know you'll find something soon.
GR app is crap. I wish it made posting in groups easier. I usually just go they my email notification & reply that way.
We're headed bak to California today. Making one more but stop for more Rogue beer. Lol! It's a good thing we don't live here because I'd loose the husband to the Rogue Nation.

I agree Stacia, I enjoyed Wicked Cravings -- it wasn't as good as Feral Sins but still very enjoyable.
I am excited you are all enjoying Under the Dome.
