Maybe a Highlander romance? Or sports theme? These tend to have abs on their covers.

It has to be at least 200 pages. I prefer contemporary realistic romance, I prefer romances without billionaires. :) I prefer for the heroine to not be a virgin.

- its an anthology - so 6 stories by different authors - 4 of the 6 are contemp; 2 PNR (one a fairy tale telling; one a leprecaun - although that was my least favoritE)

its a decently quick read though - i think all the books are between 8-12 chapters and many of them short - but lemme troll shelves for other options ;)

I finished and i enjoyed it! I really felt for the hero who is a wounded veteran. It read more like a YA and I think it was written very realistically.

Finished and damn, I didn't expect to be crying as much as I did. I was surprised at how deep the book was. I really liked this one, even though I didn't recognize Trez much from how he was before.

I was also surprised to see the direction swinging back to the brothers again, since they're going to be present quite a bit in the spin-off series. Rhage and Mary are getting the next book.

Finished a fantasy trilogy: A pretty good read. Not approaching Finnikin or Brent Week's Night Angels books in terms of enjoyment though.

The movies are actually pretty good adaptations, which is rare these days with book-to-movie translations.

i was disappointed wiht it - i've never read Cosway, but I typically like Reid and it was just underwhelming - I really struggled with it

I'm reading His First & Last by Terri Osburn. Oh my, she's a great writer. Very much contemporary romance and she doesn't break any of the rules of the genre but she still manages to write original and refreshing books. I'm kind of loving this book.



I'm also reading Thirty Two & a Half Complications by Denise Grover Swank. It's kind of cool, but this series feels a bit like a one trick dog. It's a seriously great trick like rolling over or playing dead but it's still only one trick. The books don't really change all that much but it's still entertaining.



Not sure what I'll read next. Maybe I'll mix it up a little with a cat lady mystery. I have The Cat the Vagabond and the Victim floating around somewhere...maybe I'll give that a go.



Hey, have any of you read any Maeve Binchy? A customer is kind of prodigious. Every single day I walk up to her desk at around lunch time and she's sitting there eating her lunch and reading a Maeve Binchy novel. She's lending me one but I'm not really sure what to expect.

i think because everyone raves about them, i'm hesitant to try...since the last few books on GR that have gotten really high ratings, i've wanted to throw the audiobook against the wall (and that is fairly hard to do)...

I love her books so much that I'm always afraid to read the next one. But she always delivers for me. And I'm like you - skeptical to try things with ratings that are too high. I don't usually agree with the masses, but I'm with them on this author!

Just started Calamity Jayne by Kathleen Bacus. Not really sure yet. I'm at 10% and not really feeling the love but it has potential so I'll stick with it. I'm also reading The Cat, the Vagabond and the Victim by Leann Sweeney...and yeah it's like the cat ladies guide to dating. It's not too bad, I mean what's not to love about a cat lady and I haven't read a cat lady book for a while so I'm kind of in the mood.
