Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I really enjoyed tCaFoSV ha ha...what I don't enjoy is typing out Molly Harper's book titles on an iPhone.

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Lol!!

There are many I love by Harper. A few that were just okay.

message 7103: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Just finished Hero by Samantha Young and it was mediocre. Had high expectations because of On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young which I really liked.

Going to start Earls Just Want to Have Fun (Covent Garden Cubs, #1) by Shana Galen .

message 7104: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I was in the same boat, Courtney. I loved ODS, but Hero just didn't do it for me.

message 7105: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I finished up with Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning and dove right into To Tame A Highland Warrior (Highlander #2) by Karen Marie Moning despite my [weak] resolve to hold off.

message 7106: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Finally finished The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston It was frenetic and rambly and I kept having to take breaks from it. But I kept going back, mostly because parts of it were really funny.

message 7107: by Anna (Bobs Her Hair) (last edited Mar 22, 2015 09:30AM) (new)

Anna (Bobs Her Hair) Finished The Chocolate Touch by Laura Florand. So, so good! Better than The Chocolate Thief for me. Once Upon a Rose is still my fave. Maybe I've been reading too many dark UFs in a row because Once Upon a Rose was like a breath of fresh air. It made me feel so happy.

Now it's time to return to The Unleashing.

Oh! Molly Harper's The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires was a fun read. I do wish Harper didn't rush her endings. I am looking forward to Gigi's book.

I hope the 'add book/author' function is fixed soon cause using so many italics is a PIA.

message 7108: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Yes -- that is exactly what she does! She rushes and wraps up too neatly. Her Alaskan/werewolf series has sort of lost its focus too. I loved the first two.

I just finished Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris and am starting Day Shift by Charlaine Harris (same new series).

I am in the middle of Fractured (The Remaining #4) by DJ Molles, I am listening to it.

Damn you GR for not having search available right now!

message 7109: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Curious (The Finn Factor, #1) by R.G. Alexander Scorching good m/m romance of best friends to lovers.

This does look good! I've added it.

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I'm starting (hopefully today), The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire by Molly Harper. I'm well into Dark Heir by Faith Hunter which is great in a Patricia Briggs sort of way, and I'm reading Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman, quite dense...a lot of world building but I'm enjoying it.

The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire (Half-Moon Hollow, #3) by Molly Harper Dark Heir (Jane Yellowrock, #9) by Faith Hunter Shadow Scale (Seraphina, #2) by Rachel Hartman

Stray Is cute! There's a Christmas short story with Gigi, which takes place a few years later. I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas (Half-Moon Hollow, #2.7) by Molly Harper . Are you going to read book 2 or skip to Gigi's book, which releases tomorrow?

message 7114: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I've read pretty much all the books as far as I know. Undead Christmas was originally released as a freebie (a couple of years ago) but they re-released it more recently.

Anna (Bobs Her Hair) Ian wrote: "I've read pretty much all the books as far as I know. Undead Christmas was originally released as a freebie (a couple of years ago) but they re-released it more recently."

It's no longer a freebie. It says 'free' on Audible, but I'm getting trial membership to get it. (I never cancel.) A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (Half Moon Hollow, #2) by Molly Harper has mediocre to positive reviews. It doesn't interest me ATM. Better Homes and Hauntings by Molly Harper looks good.

Anyway, I'm kind of in a book rut. Nothing really looks good, despite the cluttered TBR and ebooks. A friend loves The Walking Dead, and my library hold just arrived today. Time for some spilling guts, chompie dead, and survival 101 training. Heh!

message 7116: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments To be honest (and I'm a mad keen MH fan) it works as a freebie, something for the fan club members, but I doubt I would pay for it.

It really feels like a victory lap...all the characters you love are in there but they don't do all that much.

message 7117: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Victory lap - what a great description!

I found Better Homes and Hauntings by Molly Harper cute with some bumps.

message 7119: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Me too. The ending was way too fast and neat for me. But I liked the story a lot and the audio was great.

message 7120: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I am reading The Memory House by Linda Goodnight , and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. The story takes place at an inn in the southern part of the United States, and it flip flops between the Civil War and present day. I'm enjoying both stories.

message 7121: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished Earls Just Want to Have Fun (Covent Garden Cubs, #1) by Shana Galen which wasn't too bad.

Going to start Moon Awakening (Children of the Moon, #1) by Lucy Monroe .

message 7122: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Heads up all my Ty & Zane fellow lovers, the final Cut & Run book is available on the Riptide Pub website this Sat. You can pre-order now. Squee!

message 7123: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I love finding out pre-order for my favorite series is available. :) Have fun!

I just pre-ordered today: Vengeance of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #7) by Diana Rowland

Thanks Dee. Shall have a search for it.

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I enjoyed Charlaine Harris's new series. It isn't perfect or grand slam, and in a way it is what Ian described -- a victory lap because of all the characters from Harris's other series (3) that appear in Midnight, Texas. But still, I enjoyed it. Probably 3.5 stars for each book.

Midnight Crossroad (Midnight, Texas, #1) by Charlaine Harris Day Shift (Midnight, Texas, #2) by Charlaine Harris

Anna (Bobs Her Hair) I'm reading Sun-Kissed (Amour et Chocolat, #7; Snow Queen, #2) by Laura Florand by Laura Florand. It's a struggle atm. Everyone spends so much time thinking about their feelings - their past, present, and how they'll feel in the future. So many feelings! Although I do like the a few of the happenings at Dom & Jaime's wedding.

From that I wonder if they are just taking books that are already released and putting them into a CR boxed set. Carolyn Crane was involved in something similar about 12 months ago...9 books for 99 cents I think.

message 7131: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments this seems to be all short stories - I know Jamie is writing her's right now

message 7132: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments i think its going to kind of be like Snowy Days, Steamy Nights: Come in from the Cold - each book was its own story in the anthology

message 7133: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I am starting All the Rage by Courtney Summers and listening to Evil at Heart (Gretchen Lowell #3) by Chelsea Cain (these are so messed up!)

message 7134: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Well, I finished Crash & Burn (Cut & Run, #9) by Abigail Roux Still trying to process how I feel about it.

message 7135: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished Moon Awakening (Children of the Moon, #1) by Lucy Monroe which I would not recommend.

Going to start The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks .

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments Reading Five Miles (Gypsy Brothers, #3) by Lili St. Germain and The Shadows (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #13) by J.R. Ward (Trez!)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I'm reading Misfits by Garrett Leigh .

message 7138: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Who the heck is Angie Elle? :D

message 7139: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I loved The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire...Molly Harper is always pretty good, but this is her at her best.

I just started Archer's Voice which should be interesting. Two people I trust gave it two very different ratings (5 Stars and 2 Stars).

As I sit here typing I keep glancing up at the Maya Banks book. The cover is kind of annoying me. Why would anyone who isn't wearing a shirt pull on a shoulder holster. Is the guy stupid?

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Regina wrote: "Who the heck is Angie Elle? :D"

Lol! She is this amazing chic who just finished a great book!

message 7141: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Haha Ian! I am not a fan of Maya Banks' contemp books.

Angie Elle - hmmmm. :) lol! Which book did you finish?

Misfits. It was so good! Now I'm diving back into kilts before I start my next book.

message 7143: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Still on #2?

message 7144: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments Yes. I've only read the prologue. Lol

message 7145: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments But I anticipated it would take me a long time. I'm reading between ARCs, so these are my luxury reads. :)

message 7146: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments After weeks of not reading, i am reading I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios and enjoying it! The story takes place in a no where town off of Hwy 99 in Central Calif. The hero is a wounded veteran returning home. It's New Adult and I'm surprised how much I'm liking it since this category is usually a miss for me.

message 7147: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Hi Kay! That is great, I am excited for you. The book sounds really interesting.

message 7148: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments Thanks Regina! I'm excited too. LOL How are you? My life has been busy with running around & taking my son to baseball, soccer and swimming...another reason why I haven't been reading.

message 7149: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Life is hard with kids! Great but hard, so busy. You pretty much describe my life. :)

I have been reading though which is a relief. Not as much as before.

I wonder of Leea would like this book given the setting? It might break her reading block too.

message 7150: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I'll recommend it to her since I'm sure she'll appreciate the CA setting.

I don't know how you balance all your kids, sports, work & reading, Regina! I hope i can find the balance soon bc i miss reading a lot.
