Going to start

i've heard that a lot about Joey w. Hill's vampire books - I love her BDSM sereis, but the vampire ones seem to leave a lot of ppl disappointed

Agreed. I really good read. I recommend it.

i didn't mind the 2 that she wrote for entangled press - I think she is an author who actually does really good at the novella length and not necessarily a full-novel (does that make sense?)

I think that may be true for her. Many romance, romantic suspense and PNR books are good in the beginning (for me) but 2/3 of the way through they fizzle. So I can see why she would be better in a novella format.

That was my first thought upon finishing the book, too.

I may read these

Roscoe, my little dog was hit by a car and died. Then late last week I was talking to a breeder thinking I would put my name on a waiting list but they said they had a little dog which someone else had backed out of so on Saturday I drove to Katoomba (to meet the breeder half way) and came home with a little bundle of fluff eating and pooping machine. Her name is Bella (name chosen by Stacia)...well the Bell was chosen by Ace, I changed it from Belle to Bella.

Oh books...right...
I'll finish The Void today. I started Jennifer Estep's latest, Black Widow last night. I finished Dreamer's Pool by Juliet Marillier a couple of days ago.

Have you read Burn for Me yet?

Sorry to hear about your dog, Ian.

It's been a rough reading year for a lot of people. :)

This did start out as a rough reading year for me, but it got much better once I made the decision to read only books I knew had been edited.

Once she went back to school and life evened out I was able to really get back into picking up books.
I don't even think I'm going to sign up for the reading challenge for 2015. I always keep a shelf for the year, just so I know how many I read, but the added stress of being 'behind' based on an arbitrary number I selected January 1st for the year just seems silly.

Once she went back to school ..."
Wait - you mean you all don't ignore your kid(s) to read? Uh, yeah. No, neither do I.

Also, I don't know if reading is my main hobby anymore or even my relaxer. Reading from 2009-early 2013 was my only release and my only hobby. It just isn't anymore. :)
