I stopped when you stopped, Kay. I'll finish it soon, but I'm just not feeling a H/h connection in this one.

I think I made it to about 40%.

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 173 comments finished Rock Hard. it wasn't as good as book one in the beginning, but the ending made up for that. now listening to Undeniable (Undeniable, #1) by Madeline Sheehan loving it!

D.G. Dee wrote: "i liked it up until like the last hour...but i did the audiobook, so it kind of flowed"

I so agree with you!!!

message 6161: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Just finished Take Me On (Ross Siblings, #4) by Cherrie Lynn . Gosh, I wanted to kill these people. They were in their 30s and behaved like teenagers!

Now I'm reading The Duke (Knight Miscellany, #1) by Gaelen Foley . Awesome historical! I haven't read something quite so good in a long time.

I'm counting the minutes until Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark, #11) by Kresley Cole is released on audio tomorrow. I just can't wait!!! It's the last book that hasn't been published so more likely, I'll get the rest and listen them back to back.

message 6162: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I love that series from Gaelen Foley!

I feel the same way Kay! How was your weekend? Mine was busy with baseball, family party and lots of cleaning and laundry.

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments Mine was a somewhat similar...baseball, party and laundry. Hahah.

message 6165: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Finished Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1) by Richelle Mead And for most of it I was thinking "wow, I think I've found the Mead series that I really don't care about." Then I met Dorian and things got more interesting. A friend pointed out to me that he's very Adrian, which I think is true. I kept hearing about the Kiyo love on this one, but frankly, I don't see it at all. So I'll try book two.

message 6166: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments i wasn't a fan of Kiyo either...i'm totally team dorian ;)

message 6167: by Domino (aka Meme) (new)

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 173 comments finished Undeniable and it was great! can't wait til my new credits come in in a week so i can get the next novel.
now listening to Beauty from Pain (Beauty, #1) by Georgia Cates

message 6168: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Finished Thorn Queen (Dark Swan, #2) by Richelle Mead Still my least fav Mead series but it is Mead so I'm trying one more book. Dee, still interested in a buddy read?

I'm still not buying the Kiyo connection and I'm so tired of the UF device (view spoiler)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I finished It Happened One Wedding (FBI / US Attorney, #5) by Julie James and I really enjoyed it. No surprise here since I love the author's writing style and humor.

I'm not sure what to read next. I still have a couple of books that I started but don't know if I will return to it.

message 6181: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I just started With the Band (Luminescent Juliet, #3) by Jean Haus .

message 6182: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished A Study in Silks (The Baskerville Affair, #1) by Emma Jane Holloway and it was quite long. And love triangles? No, thank you.

message 6184: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I finished this little novella: His to Keep (Out of Uniform, #1.5) by Katee Robert , and now I'm starting Pulled Beneath (Bar Harbor, #1) by Marni Mann .

message 6185: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Started Magnificent Devices by Shelley Adina. It's just a nice fluff read, pretty good steam punk but more Scooby Doo than Studio Ghibli.
I also finished The Ghosts of Rue Dumaine which is a pretty damned good ghost story. It dragged a little in the middle but the good definitely outweighs the bad.
Now I'm onto Ghouls Rush In by H.P. Mallory and hopefully very shortly I'll be reading The Lucky Charm by Beth Bolden which I'm hearing good things about.

The Lucky Charm (Portland Pioneers, #1) by Beth Bolden Ghouls Rush In (Peyton Clark, #1) by H.P. Mallory The Ghosts of Rue Dumaine by Alexandrea Weis Magnificent Devices (Magnificent Devices #3) by Shelley Adina

message 6186: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I started reading Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1) by Katie McGarry and I'm enjoying it. For those who have read this series, is it worth continuing on after book 1?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments I liked book 2 but wasn't a fan of book 3. Not sure if I'll read further.

message 6188: by Domino (aka Meme) (new)

Domino (aka Meme) (bryghtstarr) | 173 comments finished Rush and it was good. now listening to Twist Me (Twist Me, #1) by Anna Zaires

message 6189: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Well, finally found the Mead series I had to bail on. Finished Iron Crowned (Dark Swan, #3) by Richelle Mead Not only did the love triangle get into all kinds of WTFery, I didn't buy how Eugenie behaved. I also read the spoilers for the final book and am very glad I did not go down that path.

message 6190: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished Tangled Web (Deizian Empire, #1) by Crista McHugh and it was an ok read. The chemistry was kind of lackluster for me. I liked the idea of the story and the setting, but character development and world building fell through.

Going to start A Girl Like You by Gemma Burgess .

Courtney, i hate when that happens. and that book sounded pretty interesting. i have it on my list but it'll be a while til i get to it.

message 6192: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments i kinda of liked Tangled Web - i felt that the chemistry was pretty good considering the whole background (view spoiler) - plus the whole time period was something unique

Tellulah me too!! It was so done, the set up could have taken it in a very different and bad direction. The ex was dealt with so well in terms of why the dynamic was weird. I loved Adam in this one.

message 6195: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I just finished Skin Game (The Dresden Files, #15) by Jim Butcher and it was so good. Amazing, cover to cover!

I am starting Lord of the Changing Winds (Griffin Mage, #1) by Rachel Neumeier and listening to The Atrocity Archives (Laundry Files, #1) by Charles Stross

Both Skin Game and lord of the Changing Winds are real books, not ebooks. I was sent them by the publisher/author so I didn't have a choice but I am surprised to find that I am okay reading print books again. :) I really haven't done so for about 5 years.

Domino, I hope you get it soon!

And Regina, I have a so much respect for Briggs being able to keep it this engaging so deep into the series.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I feel like I've been gone for so long and missed so much, lol. Life has been so busy.

I'm rereading the Seven Realms series to get me back in the flow and it seems to be working.

I think I'll be around again.

Leea | 1437 comments I feel the same way Wendy :) I haven't been reading again, I hope to get bit by the bug soon.
