Book 4 was the weakest of all of her books. I think a lot of us were disappointed in it. Book 5 really picked it up, then Clockwork Princess was incredible. Finished
and it was just okay. I was hoping for it to wander into much darker territory after having the concept dangled in front of us. The romance was sort of boring too, so there wasn't even some steam to make up for anything. Still working on

and it's already non stop goodness!This month is crazy... bat *hit crazy. I spent half my day trying to find a dress to my BIL's wedding. I found one and it's cute but there is so much else that needs to be done. Okay, deep breath.
Leea - you'll find the dress. So many are out right now, it's a good time to be shopping. I just picked up 3 today - from QVC - LOL! My mom is a QVC-aholic, and Issac Mizrahi was on one of the times I was walking by. He had a really simple, comfy dress, so I picked it up in 3 colors - navy, black, and pink. Then I picked up a couple of scarves and a pretty summer cardigan with a pink flower pattern on it. Now I have to go shoe shopping... oh woe is me! ;-)ANYWAY... I'm liking
much better than "City of Fallen Angels". Although, I have a feeling I'm in for heartbreak, especially since all I've heard about Clockwork Princess is about people weeping while reading it!Maya Banks'
just came out tonight/today. I love being PT when a new ebook hits, 'cuz now I get it just after 9p PT!!! Haven't dug in yet, though, 'cuz I don't wanna get distracted from the Clockwork Prince right now.
I'm reading A Ghost of a Chance at Love which is not quite as interesting as discussing Return of the Jedi with a 40 year old virgin who lives with his mum, but is definitely better than cleaning the toilet after someone painted it with projectile vomit. 
I love Hot Head, Lori and Damon is one of my fav authors - I got to meet him last year and he was a hoot ;) - there is supposedly a sequel to HH in the works...Dirty came in yesterday - so i'm ready to start when you guys are - do we want to say like the 15th?
I LOOOOOVE Infernal Devices. For me, I thought it was way better than MI. I know not everyone felt that way though.I have to go read your reviews, Lori, lmao.

so much. It is everything I love about UF. I haven't been this excited about a UF series since I started Fever back in late 2009! I freaking love it!Kay, I really like Molly Harper's PNR books as I feel like they are so similar in theme and style to her chic-lit book

Not sure if I want to move on to the second Viking/Saxon or maybe go with a Lisa Kleypas. I might be in a Kleypas mood.

But you've got me interested in checking out the Darkhouse series - book 1 is free on Amazon and book 2 is .99. Maybe it's always that price but if not, thought I'd pass it on. :)
I think they are always that price, since she's indie. First is free, then the second is .99, then after that they go up. But the most is 3.99.You should totally read them, they're amazing!
AND, yes I agree with you! Jules and Robin were aMAZING in that one. But 12 was even more Jules/Robin amazing. :)
I really liked Ric and really liked Ric and Annie. They are one of my favorite couples. Good news for you Tellulah -- Martell is the focus of a spin off series coming in February! (I really liked Martell too)
So much Jules and Robin goodness to come. :) I am loving Darkhouse, Tellulah I think you would really like the series. Smashwords has the books less than Amazon as well and I believe authors get a bigger chunk of the profits from Smashwords?

I feel so out of the loop. Suspense is one of the only genres I don't really like.
Stacia I don't either. There really no other suspense series I have ever read that I like -- occasionally I find a book that is okay in a series but it is hit or miss. It seems more unbelievable to me than urban fantasy, lol. The thing about troubleshooters is that it is completely character driven, focused on the characters friendship and relationships and they are really well developed.

I love the Great Gatsby. :) I read it last year exactly around this time.
I wasn't a fan of TGG - it bugged me, but I can't figure out why...I do kinda wanna see the Leo DiCaprio version of the movie though
I love all things 1920's, so I would like to read it at some point.
At my book club last year, we read The Great Gatsby and then watched the movie. By that time we were all pretty toasted and laughed hysterically at the movie. It is funny, b/c I remember seeing the movie years ago and loved it but it has not aged well. :D
I'm not looking forward to the remake of the Great Gatsby... Stacia, don't feel left out. :) I don't even know how to describe the Troubleshooters series, it's like this big large family that you get to know. I've never liked suspense before and it's not really suspense but more these missions they go on. It's Brockmann's writing, how she writes these human connections. I can't wait to see what HR book you pick to read... I need a break from Dex & Perry.

It's as Mr. Fitzgerald describe something you knew about the City but never could put into words.
I've never seen any of the movies but I saw a clip the other day of the 1974 version and everybody looked so sweaty! I still don't like DiCaprio as Gatsby - he looks too confident in the previews I've seen and that's not Gatsby at all. As I'm reading, I'm imagining Robert Redford as Gatsby. :)
I never picked up on that b/c I am not a New Yorker. :) It is the classic structure of THE novel with imagery and metahors, which is why it is so often used in high school english lit classes. For me, the descriptions of human behavior and how ugly they could be is something I really enjoyed. Have you read

I didn't get it until I visited New York and Long Island. Then I understood more. I need to re-read
, too. I'm looking forward to this movie. I always felt as if the Robert Redford version was too nice and too pretty. There's that darker, dirtier layer underneath that Fitzgerald is trying to expose. From the previews, I think this latest version might capture it. We'll see - heading off this Friday to see it with girlfriends on a GNO.
