Leviathon not John Gordon Davies [s]

I read this book about 25-30 years ago when it was popular fiction. I am pretty sure the title is Leviathon which is the name of the supertanker which mows down a small yacht with a husband and wife on board. The wife dies and the husband hunts down the supertanker. The only book I can find with this title is one by John Gordon Davies about rhinos.
