Differences between book and tv show Giant

Aren't the giants suppose to be yeti like creatures with hair covering their bodies,riding mammoths,and using giant clubs.The one on the tv show is basically just a giant human,even smaller then the books one.I am very confused.

I think you are right, they may have had budget constraints though. They are having to a lot of fantastic scenes in this season.

Dragons, Others, Dire Wolves all that CG adds up fast.

Yeah, the giant was very different from how it was described in the book. So far the giants haven't featured much in the series, so I don't think it'll be a big deal. We'll probably not get a POV character from that species....
