Hey folks! I have a wee update, if anybody's interested: The Traveling Notebook is officially on its way to Sabine in Germany. A month goes by so quickly! Just FYI--the gorgeous little bag the Notebook lives in is getting to be a little tight. I'm not sure who made it (you're awesome!), but is it possible to expand it at all? We may have to retire its cover otherwise due to it not fitting. The Notebook has grown a lot, clearly! Maybe someone down the list with good sewing skills can alter it? Just throwing that out there. :)

That awesome quilt pouch for the Notebook was made by Caroline. How fun to hear that it's getting a little tight. :-) I'm sure someone (along the Notebook's route) will come up with a perfect solution for this. Fanyons are extremely inventive. :-D

I am way down the line and I am just starting to learn how to quilt. Maybe I will be capable by the time it gets to me, unless someone else is capable now. :-)

I am pleased that my hand-sewn cover has lasted this long although I'm not surprised the book has outgrown it by now. To make sure that it eventually gets back to Josh (to stay) let's add a rule to this game. We've pretty much agreed that we're going to have to set a time limit for how long our Traveling Notebook can stay in one place. As of the time limit I think one month would be a fair time. And if you can send it on its way even faster, that's wonderful!

The plan is that after Haldis has added some treasures inside the Notebook, she'll send it to Steve, and Steve will bring the book to Catalina. And from there the Traveling Notebook will retire to its final destination — chez Lanyon. :-)

There are still lots of empty pages in the notebook, so maybe people at the Catalina Fanyon Retreat can add to it.

Absolutely. The Notebook has been to three (?) UK Meets already — it'll be lovely to have Catalina crew add their thoughts on those empty pages still left. :-)
