Crux walked into the cafeteria, because he had nothing else to do and no where else to go.
Alyssa slid her text book off of the desk and swapped it for a cheese sandwich wrapped in cling film. She made a face, but continued to eat anyway.
Crux sighed. When would he make friends? Sure, he knew people but that didn't mean he was friends with them. He could practice smiling and making a conversation as many times as he wanted to...but he was still hopeless at actually talking to a real person, not a mirror or a doll.
Alyssa, who was sitting near the door, noticed the boy who had came in was just kind of lingering about. She threw away her sandwich crusts and convinced herself to talk to him. "I will say hi," She muttered very quietly, "Will to, will to, will to!""Lost?" She called to the boy. His name... It was something different like Cray or...
Crux looked at Alyssa, "Huh? I'm not lost...just bored." It was true. School was boring. And there was nothing to brighten up the day and spark interest in school. School was just a big puddle of gasoline. Without a flame, it's just inky nothingness. Crux shrugged and decided that this was the perfect time to start a conversation, "I'm Crux." What were his parents thinking?
Alyssa looked almost impressed by his name, "That's a new one," She smiled. She dared herself to dared herself to socialise outside the safety of her clique, "Have a seat, Crux. If you want." She added.
"My name, new? Yeah, I've heard that," Crux walked over at sat across from her, "I think my parents were drunk when they named me." He didn't know whether he was joking or not.
Alyssa raised an eyebrow and laughed slightly at what she was was half-sure was a joke. "I like original names," She told him, "They're much more fun. I mean if you say, 'Alyssa said that' then you have to ask what one. I know four other Alyssa's." She made a face.
"Four? Wow. But I'm sure you're all unique," Crux shrugged but smiled slightly, "We all have some...er...unique-ness tucked away inside of us." Stupid Crux. You're talking to someone don't go all...Beethoven on them. Uh...Beethoven composed music. Shut up. You know what I mean! Poetic and stuff like that! It was amazing how completely random his thoughts were.
Alyssa looked down at the desk, "Yeah, we've all got some 'unique-ness'," She wasn't trying to make fun of him, "What's so unique about you then, Crux? Besides the name, of course." ((Oooh, how do you actually do italics? Do I have to the thing? is that even right?))
(( <.i> Put words in here <./i> Just delete the full-stops))
"Nothing, really," Crux thought briefly, "I don't think I'm very unique. What about you?"
"Nothing, really," Crux thought briefly, "I don't think I'm very unique. What about you?"
((Awesome, thanks.))"I'm an unremarkable person," Alyssa said, sounding nearly proud about it, although her mother spoke otherwise. "Well, erm," She added, not wanting to another Crux with a lack of confidence. I can play a little piano and I know some Tae Kwon Do? Does that count?" She popped open and bag of crisps, offering one to Crux, "And I'm positive there's something different about you,"
((No problem ^^))
Crux shook his head in response to the crisps, "No thanks. Piano and Tae Kwon Do? Yeah, they're pretty unique." He tried to think about something that could pass for unique about himself, "Eh...I like maths?" He was adamant that counted. I mean, how many kids that didn't have tiger parents liked maths?

((Sorry, doing this and voting in the Zimbio poll at the same time, Destiel for the win Babay!))"It's hard enough to find someone who tolerates maths," She laughed, "Everyone has their quirks," Alyssa straightened out her book pile before she plucked a math s one from the middle, "If you like maths, mind helping me with this one?"
((That's fine. If you don't mind me asking, what is Zimbio?))
Crux nodded, "Sure. What topic?" Maths had always come easy for him, hell knows why. Maybe he only enjoyed it because it was easy. Oh well, maths is maths.

((I don't even know, all I know is they're have a poll and a Supernatural couple is in the semi finals haha, welcome to my life!))"Just a few Trig questions," She point the three of them out in the book, "Just, how?" She laughed, "I know I'm murder. Thanks so much!"
((Really? Time to search something up in Google...))
Crux explained to her the works of trigonometry. The Side lengths, the angles and just generally how they relate. "I hope that helps...but if it doesn't. Use Google."

((You watch SPN? In that case when I say couple.. I mean Destiel ;) ))"Oh, me and Google are the best of friends!" Alyssa cheered, "Crux, you are an absolute life saver! I have homework I need to finish off but for now I really have to go," She packed her things into her bag, all organised in size order, "We should talk again sometime,"
((Gtg, 2:20 am here ;P))
((Supernatural? No. Sorry, don't know much :/))
"Okay," Crux stood up as well, "No point being in here alone. I'll see you around sometime, Alyssa." He hadn't brought anything with him, left his bag...somewhere. He smiled at Alyssa before walking out. Score! Friend...maybe but still, Score! But she better not just pretend to be his friend because he could do her math. Oh. Please let her not be a cruel heartless monster that can't do maths. Please.
((See ya :D))

Kenzi walked into the cafeteria and sat down at a table away from everyone else. She wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone else at the moment.
Alex walked towards an empty table with her tray in her hands and sat down.
Alex smiled back "Hi! I'm Alex"
( ugh my parents just told me I have to get off the computer :( gnight)

"Thanks" she said with a smile "So is yours"
Elizabeth clutched onto her backpack and stared at the food. It looked almost as bad as her father's cooking. She looked around with her wide eyes and settled on sitting down in a chair, trying not to offend anyone.
She looke at the girl she'd sat down next to. " are you okay? I know the food is wacky but I don't think it'll bite."
She nods " cool I guess." She said. She looked at herself in a compact. She shut it then looked at her " what's your name?" She asked politely
" Topaz." She said batting her eyelashes that were pale green like her eyes. " it's nice meeting you Elizabeth."
She smiled back " thanks. I like yours too. " she said. She looked at the lunch line that was long. She stood " I'll be right back." She said.
She walked on the line. People just parted and let her go in front. She was back in a matter of 2 minutes. She sat down next to Elizabeth.
