She nods " I can't sit through stuff like that. I like stuff with a little more action and a lot less suicide notes

Elizabeth stared at her. "What do you like to read?"
"Personally I'm more of a sappy supernatural romance girl. Sucker for the old fashion love." She said biting into her sandwich
She giggled " disgusting? I'd say its more of a cliche. "
"Romance is nothing but a word...there is no such thing as love."
"There's a such thing. It's just not as happy as an emotion as books portray it to be:" she said
"No, their isn't. When your heart is broken, you wonder why you ever succumbed to such a ridiculous emotion in the first place."
She smiled " I like you. You got that certain fiestiness you just don't find in girls these days." She said eating her salad. She liked how she talked.
Elizabeth smiled. "I guess it comes with raising and fending for yourself." She realized that her stomach was growling, but she said nothing of it.
She smiled " well maybe it does. Maybe I should try that insitead if living with the trivial emotion called love." She winked
She smiled. "That's the spirit...I honestly have done rather well without it."
She finished her salad " do you mean straight truth or what you think the truth is"
"..I don't know...I've never really known 'truth' in my life."
She smiled " everyone has known some truth."
Whisper sat at a table in the back, moving her hair off her shoulder. She balanced her lunch tray on her laptop.
A few jocks came and took over Whisper's table, so she took her stuff and looked for another place to sit. She couldn't find any free seats except for one beside a girl she'd never spoken to.
Cat walked into the cafeteria and got her lunch. She sat down at a table, opened her book and started reading, once in a while taking a bite from her sandwich.
" Hey Cat" , Ally said walking up to her friend. " Are you finished? " " Yup", she answered, got up and the two friends walked out of the cafeteria.
halle walked up through the sea of people. desperate to find a seat she sat down not realising someone was there.
Alex looked up in surprise. She realized the girl was trying to sit so she scooted over.
"I'm sorry I can move if you wish i'm Halle by the way" she said
She smiled. "No, it's okay. I'm Alex. What grade are you in Halle?"
"a little bit I've been in hill crest since third grade but I am only a freshmen at this school"
"Okay, I thought I've seen you before. I'm a junior." Alex unwrapped her sandwich and took a bite.
"really I am sorry but you looked younger to me." she replied hoping she didn't offend alex
Alex smiled."It's fine." She giggled a little bit, "That's a first though. I've always been told I look exactly my age." She pretended to be offended but wasn't able to contain her laughter at the look on Halle's face.
Alex ate more of her lunch and asked, "So, what do you like to do for fun?"
"umm well I am a nerd so I like looking up facts but don't really think that is your thing" she replied hoping she didn't offend again.
"Cool." Alex nodded appreciatively. "What makes you think I dont like that?" She asked raising her eyebrows jokingly." I'm not a genius like you seem to be...but I get decent grades. And to tell you the truth, I'm quite the book nerd." She wasn't the least bit offended.
((Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was unloading the dishwasher*scrunches nose*))
"I like a lot of things. I guess I like to have an open mind." Alex said shrugging.

"me too. Unlike my sister Emma she is closed minded to the max"
Alex shrugged. "Some people are like that. I just try my hardest not to be." She finished her sandwich and threw away her trash. When she sat back down, she asked"Are you in any afterschool activities?"
"no I am not haven't really found anything I like"
She nodded understanding. "Im in the Art program." Changing the subject like she did quite often, she asked "You said you have a sister, right?"
"yeah she's my twin she goes here though we don't have any classes together mainly because we chose each others topic this year"
"Interesting. I've always wondered what it was like to be a twin."
"it's a little bit annoying sometimes especially when your out and the person thinks your the other person but fun because basically it is almost like having a mirror"
Alex smiled. "Is she anything like you personality wise?" She was curious.
"Kind of she's nerdy like me but she's a art nerd and a vegetarian so we get along well but we're not best friends, so what about you?"
"My personality or siblings?"she tilted her head slightly.
She thought for a second and then said,"Well, I like to think that I just go with the flow. I respect everyone's opinions and I have some of my own too. I'm not particular to any kind of group, I guess, of people as long as they have respect for me. I also like try many things like I'm into soccer, art, skateboarding, drama, and a bunch of other things. That's it for that. As for siblings, I have a little sister named Jordan that I adore. She's artsy just like my mom and how my daddy was."
"I am kind of the same. My mum left when I was 1 year old but I live with my grandma and dad. anyway carry on."
