Lady Dragonfyre Galey Like most of the books it this series, this one leaves you waiting for the next one. Lots of character development, descriptions of settings and society but not a lot of action until near the end. I still love visiting this world and the characters and will wait impatiently for the next.

Red Haircrow I like visiting this world also, and enjoy many of the characters, and must share that Cherryh is probably one of my favorite writers as she is the only one I have/will collect all of her books and in various versions.

I will continue to read in this series but I do very much feel like we have basically been given expanded chapters or scenes these last few books, revolving around certain events that never have any definitive conclusions like in earlier books. This is what I've been hoping for and previously received, and those books didn't end the series.

My enjoyment in returning to the Foreigner Universe hasn't lessened however, despite these continuing mini dramas delivered as a whole novel. Cherryh has a distinct voice, style and has built an awesome series and sets of characters, but I rather feel this is being milked now instead of delivering true substance. It's coming, sure, and Geigi will be at the bottom of it, as I predicted in my earlier reviews.
