What are you reading?
I loved both the McCabe and the Armstrongs & Montgomery trilogy series and would much prefer having those books to this new contemporary stuff MB's focusing on now. I've stopped purchasing the new ones.
I'm taking a break from the Julie Garwood streak I've been on and drifted back to my first love (in the world of romance novels) -- Regency!I found a fun series and I've finished the first book and nearly done with the second -- but I've had to stop as my Kindle insists on being recharged.
They're fun and sexy and include one of my favorite plot devices in Regency Romances - the spy for the Crown against those horrid Frenchies!
If you like a nice Regency, I highly recommend them:
@Jonetts...got it. I have never read her contemporaries. @Sandra...I had never heard of her, but fell into it because I went through a Highlander craze for a while. Fell in love with the first book and it was all over.
If I am going to get sucked into three more series...Eve Duncan, Catherine Ling and Kendra Michaels, I am definitely going to have to stick to the one a month concept lol.
Just purchased The Vanishing by Wendy Webb, as a Daily Deal at Audible. The narrator is XE Sands and I love her work. It sounds like an interesting thriller.
Finished Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy? by Abigail Sharpe. Here's my review.
I'm reading He's So Fine by Jill Shalvis.

Jonetta, Danelle is putting her books on audio finally...The Wild One was really cheap a few weeks ago.

Hmmm...maybe I'll listen to those last two. Thanks for the info.

I just finished The Wild One, enjoyed the story, but.... This a personal pet peeve, the cover is horrible. If I had been in the library or bookstore I never would have picked up the book because of the cover. Is it just me? Are any of you influenced by the cover of a book?

Do you have the old cover?

- wow, talk about cover to cover heartbreak and yet I loved it - 5 stars! I'm making myself stick to my one a month of the series schedule but I am actually dying to start Lover Enshrined...Phury needs some help!

Knew you'd love this one. Warning...Phury's story is a little tedious.

I've read the mixed reviews - seems many were not happy with it. Phury deserves so much including some peace & a hea. I'm trying to hold off until Nov.

I found the first book to be the weakest in the series. Hang in there if that's your experience.

Good to know, Jonetta. I'm already finding the narration to be a little much. It also make Mac sound younger than 22.

Mac grated my nerves in this book. I had a complete reversal on her after the second book.

I'll keep that in mind. Though I bought the whole series so I'll be reading it all regardless. But still good to know.
Great! Because when you finish the third book, you will want to IMMEDIATELY jump right into the next two. I was hooked by the second but remember downloading the fourth book at 2:00 am in the morning from the library:)

On my list Quynh! Hoping to start later this month.

I started listening to CONCEALED IN DEATH this morning. I love the audiobooks - Susan Ericksen is wonderful. I wonder if there's any video of her performing them. I'd love to see what she looks like when doing these.
I finished
- what a ride! I'll review it when my heart stops racing & I can wrap my head around it. I didn't realize there are 5 more books in this series. I love different, dark, emotional reads, especially suspense, but I'm not sure my heart will survive the next one.

I really want to read that too! It's had very good reviews and it's set in my neck of the woods from what I understand - the Pacific NW.

I've read "darker" and it is a good murder suspense...it's the crazy relationship between detective (who is also her last victim) & the serial killer that blows my mind. And it's definitely a mind game...some brilliant twists. I think the writing is well above average & the plot excellent...I gave it 4.5 stars - really close to 5 stars. But I didn't realize that "their" story continues so even though I know I'll continue the series, I'm pacing myself. Need a little time to absorb my feelings over this one.

I know and we were agreeing with you. We were later complaining about where her writing focus has been...these two contemporary series.
