Garwood's books are good to develop an addiction over:)

A lot of my friends are the same way, Shari. They're not fond of her contemporaries (romantic suspense) but it's where I started.

Sandra, you won't regret it. I didn't want that book to end.

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments I just finished Promises in Death (In Death, #28) by J.D. Robb and am about to start Kindred in Death (In Death, #29) by J.D. Robb

You're speeding through them, Sheri!

Good to know, Jonetta...I'll move it up the list!

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments i wanted to get through as many as possible before the new book comes out. Kindred in death might take me a little longer though. this one for me is a tough one to read for some reason. It might have to do with knowing what it is like to lose a child. it hits me hard sometimes even reading about a parent who loses a child. but i love this book

Sheri, this was a tough one for me, too...not from experience though. I just feel things empathetically and it really hurt my heart.

Absolutely loved The Night Prince series by Frost, Jonetta. Frost told us that book 3 will be out in either Dec. 2014 or very early 2015. She's finishing the first book of a new series first.

I'm about 30 pages from finishing (less than a day) and LOVE this book!!! I can't believe I kept putting it off. I've also got to finish the final book in the Night Huntress series.

Vera, her writing style is a little dense with prose. It took me awhile to get started but eventually, it got pretty interesting (for me). It's sort of a mystery/psychological study/police procedural all rolled into one. The reviews have gone either way. Here's my review if you're interested (no spoilers).

Downside Ghosts is an incredibly narrated series. Missing Terrible!

message 686: by Penni (new)

Penni | 816 comments Yes, it is an awesome narration. This is the 3rd one I've listened to. And I just love them. This 3rd one is exceptionally hard at the moment, as I'm feeling so bad for Chess hurting so much about Terrible.

message 688: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments @ Penni, I LOVE that series!!! I read it in November. I actually had to put the books down sometimes,I was getting so upset at some of the choices Chess was making. Will also admit to shedding some tears( and I'm normally not a book crier). The In Death series is the only series I like better then the Downside Ghosts series. Enjoy:)

message 689: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments I'm reading Big Girl does it Married by Jacinda Wilder. I got the 1st 4 books free from Amazon this weekend, I'm a little ashamed to say I'm really enjoying the series ( reading the last book now). They are short, trashy books, but I love the characters. I'm glad they are on the Kindle, I would be embarrassed to carry a book called Big Girls do it Wetter out of the house! Lol

I have to do that too - put the book down sometimes. You just want to slap her sometimes. I have some other books that I've had that desire also. Glory in Death I was wanting to slap Eve around a couple times.
