Hi Lisa Kay!Can you confirm this for me? I found that it had 358 pages unofficially, but couldn't find an official listing. Thought I had better get it mod approved before adding it to our challenge spreadsheet.
Thanks!
LOL! Sure, ❀Oo❀, you are more than welcome to divide them up into individual books, as long as the page count - or should we say word count? - qualifies. You might have some difficulty with some of them, such as
= 96 pages, per AmazonBy word count = 25,904/250 = 104 pages
Maybe you can find some 2:1 volumes? However, I don't think you are going to get 40 qualifying books.
Hmmm... that site says the total word count for Shakespeare's works is 928,913/250 = 3,716. That can't be right, can it?
Sure, I can create a book for you that is a combo of two or more works of Shakespeare's from Project Gutenburg totally 160 pages by word count. Why not? It is "public domain" and anyone can create a book from the material. You might not have a pretty cover... but do you really care? If so, we can always just plaster his portrait on the cover.

I would image it is due to the different formats. I would go by word count.
LOL! Well, ❀Oo❀, it would count for as many books that we can make that equal 160 pages by word count. Do you understand what I mean? For example, we might have to combine Romeo & Juliet with Timon of Athens = 45,411 words divided by 250 = 181 pages.
**snortsnort** I assume you don't mean a million dollars, ❀Oo❀. So, I would say, treat it like a puzzle and figure out what plays should combine with what play, either by word count to equal the right number of pages, or by complimentary or opposing themes? **shrugs** Up to you. You can PM me your decisions and I'll combine them as you
read
them... Alright?
Since the content is "public domain" we can create our own separate little books equaling 160 pages or greater.
@ Lisa Kay.I have a new page problem.
I am just starting
and this Hachette from the UK is the edition I am reading, but the pagenumber is off. According to Amazon Uk it is 406 pages long just like the other editions.Could you change this edition to the right amount of pages.
Thanks
Hi LK, please could you check the page numbers for this one
? According to Amazon it's 226 pages long.
I have added a new edition of The Last Colony by Scalzi as none of the ones on GR seemed to fit. But of course it is all alone not combine with the other editions. Is this something you do Lisa Kay or does it happen automatic after a while?
I added The Last Colony
Jane, I'm assuming you want to do this yourself, for practice. As a GRs Librarian, be sure to follow these Rules for Combining Book Editions.
Click on the word "combine" to the far right of the screen, on the same line as "Other Editions." On the screen after that, I usually do a "Ctrl+F" for the title, then click the appropriated boxes. You can see more info under "details" of each edition, if you are unsure, as it is just a drop-down box. It will even tell you which one is the one you added.
Hi Lisa Kay~
~ Amazon site has it estimated at 185 pgs. Also on iBooks which has pg total at 228. Could you verify and update it here on Goodreads please. Not reading it yet but planning on within next couple of weeks. Thanks!!
I don't know why I come up as librarian. I just checked the 17 edits I have made and most I remember as I have read both Danish books and others that I just haven't been able to find on Goodreads and then added myself.I have never had a problem adding a book but I have never applied to become a librarian.
Lisa Kay.I am reading The Sea of Monsters
It is missing pagenumbers. Would you add 279 pages.
Thank you
Hi Lisa Kay,I wish to read
. Could you confirm 228 pages please - that is what I found on Amazon site. I have the nook book but no page count on their site. Thanks!
Hello I'm reading
which is listed as 90 pages, however it is the kindle version and I couldn't find a paper version of it, I was wondering if there was a away to find out the page count, or if I just use the number of pages in the kindle version? Thanks in advance!!
Sorry, Erin. I can't find any word count anywhere. I found several "unoffical" listings between 70's-90's pages. Amazon/Kindle has it listed at 92 pages. Despite the KB of the file size, I'd say that's about right, due to the price. I saw the first chapter (for free) at the author's web site; looks light. If you find something elsewhere, I'll review it again.
= 92 pages
Perfect I didn't think it was enough because it is such a light read I just wanted to check! Thank you!!!!!
I've just finished reading On the Street Where You Die whick I believe is only available as a Kindle book. There is no listing for number of pages on GR. Amazon says 170 pages. Here's the link http://www.amazon.com/Street-Where-St...In addition, the sequel A Dead Ringer has no page count listed on GR - Amazon shows 174 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Ringer-Stanley-...
Would a librarian be willing to update the GR pages?
Can I get a page count added to this book that Melissa on Cadet Blue read? Tales Of Passion, Tales Of Woe. Amazon shows this edition having 416 pages.
Thanks.
