Page Numbers, Just About Page Numbers...
Lisa Kay wrote: "Rebecca, they still have issues on this book; they are asking for a SuperUser; however, I'm going with the following pages. I edited them on most of the copies, unless I could tell it was a hardco..."Thank you , thank you Lisa Kay!!! Who knew that my spur of the moment decision to re-read this book would cause such a brouhaha! Cupcake for you, absolutely!!
Can I please get page numbers for Bad Apple?Amazon list the estimated page number as 166. The file size is 365 kb, which using the 2 kb per page estimate would make it 182 pages. I haven't found a word count for it, but the kindle version has 3001 locations if that helps.
Maria Helena, I'm going to go with the Amazon/Kindle data of 166 pages. I did find a word count of 39,000 - which would put it at 156 pages. So, you're doing better to stick with Amazon. They must have some pictures or advertising that increase the file size.
= 166 pages

Lisa Kay wrote: "That one was interesting, Hina, because so many sites had both the paperback and the eBook page count listed, which also conflicted with one another. Weird. I finally just bought it myself to see..."Thanks Lisa Kay!! Its a good start to the series, I just finished reading it on my commute. I just had more expectations for it. The novelty is that the hero is a shy quiet type, and I rarely see them in my reading. I love the cover!!
Hi Lisa Kay, Can you tell me about the page numbers for Dillon's Claim by Callie Croix? The GR data is different than what is on amazon. So I don't know which one to count.
Hina, according to the author's web site, the word count is 32,000 = 128 pages. However, I'm NOT going to change/increase the GRs datebase. You'll have to refer any questions to this post.

No problem. That works for me.
Hi Lisa Kay.I am currently reading WLT: A Radio Romance
There is no Kindle edition, do I just add it?
I am just about to start reading
but out of 61 editions there are no Kindle format. Also the pages range from 181 to over 300. According to Amazon it is 243 pages.
Could you help me sort this out Lisa Kay?
It never ceases to amaze me how different editions can have such drastic differences in page numbers.
Steven wrote: "It never ceases to amaze me how different editions can have such drastic differences in page numbers."There are a LOT of things that can affect the number of pags in a book -- font size, margins, the space between the lines, even the font that is used for the text :) Playing with fonts is another of my hobbies LOL
Jane wrote: "I am just about to start reading

= 298 pages per Amazon. However, an online source says word count = 64,768 ... which would equal 259 pages.
Combined other editions, too. And that didn't include plays, combos with his other works, etc. Amazing. There is, like, 180-something editions now.
I Think there most be 2 different editions then - I thought that there was over 171 the first time Iooked in Goodreads but next time it was only 61? Also it is not the edition that is being published later this month I bought.
I bought http://www.amazon.co.uk/Martian-Chron...
If you're doing the R-a-T, Jane, you can go by word count and use 259 pages. Just refer your Team Captain to this post.
I will stick to 243 pages. I am taking part in RaT but I have completed it. Now it is just a question about adding to the page count.
Hi Lisa Kay, I need a page count for Sex at Work: An Xcite Collection of Inappropriate Behaviour on the Job by Miranda Forbes.
FYI, this book is my first 1 star of the year. Uggh, I don't know how I finished it.
I expected a few bad stories, but it was the other way around, maybe a couple of good stories worth reading, but by then I was so put off by the book that I couldn't even rate it higher. The book has such a high rating because it has ratings from two of the authors who are probably rating their own work. I learned my lesson on paying attention to other people's reviews.
I need your help again Lisa KayAnother book missing page numbers on the Kindle edition.
Just Doll by Janice Daugharty
hardcover is 220, paperback 234 and according to amazon.co.uk Kindle edition is 234.
Hi, I'm not sure about this book, I have a feeling it's slightly too short but could you confirm it either way please? Thanks :)
Every source I can find says...
= 156 pagesSorry, Claire. If you can find one that has a word count showing it qualifies, then I'll look at it.
That's ok, that's what I thought it might be but I could only find it on Amazon with an estimate! Shouldn't take me very long to read though :)Edit: I was right - halfway through and I only started it this morning!
Hi Lisa Kay, I needed a page count for Tamed By You by Kate Perry. Amazon has it listed as 281 pages, while the GR ebook is listed as 176 pages and smash words puts it at 182 pages with the word count. Which one should I follow?
Lisa Kay wrote: "Hina, I'll go with Smashwords' word count of 45,708 divided by 250 = 183 pages.
= 183 pages"Cool! Thanks.
Lisa Kay,A team member is currently reading: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59...
which will have 336 pages when published in September according to amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Islay-Novel-Gal...
Will you verify this so when I count it for the challenge, it will be "mod-approved" please?
I also combined it with another edition and added a synopsis, Steven. There is no bookcover available.
