We had a member read Faster We Burn, which doesn't have a page number listed on GRs. I couldn't find an approved GRs source for the pagination, but Amazon has it listed at 452. I didn't want to update the site since it's an "unapproved" source, but is that ok for the challenge?

One of our members read
- an awesome book with lots of illustrations/drawings. Can I know if it'll work for this challenge?
Vi wrote: "One of our members read

Hi, I have a feeling the answer will be no but I've just been doing a shelf check and found this, will this count?
I am new to this group and would love to participate in this folder. How do I go about doing that. And what is the object of the folder.
Nancy, this is just an internal thread for the Tower Teams Reading Challenge to verify page and word count. It is NOT official to GRs database. It is just an attempt to make sure everyone is 'tagging' books of the required length.Welcome to NBRC!
Thanks for the welcome Lisa Kay. It usually takes me a bit of time to understand the dynamics of a group. Right now I would love to be able to figure out the Tower Teams reading challenges and get involved in one. I assume they have already begun and if this is the case when does the next one begin.Any help in my understanding this area would be gratefully appreciated.
Nancy, TTRC is a year-long challenge, so it is still going on. However, one Team will probably reach our goal in October or November. (There are several who could do so, according to the calculations.)
Nevertheless, we always need replacement players and we are also building a new Team.
We have place you on Pewter Blue. You Captains, Mary and Vicky will help you out. (Unfortunately, Mary is away this week-end.) But, I'm sure you'll get helpful advice from most anyone in the TTRC, including one of the Mods.
Again, welcome!

Upon this week's check for the Sunday Update there is 1 book on Oo's LJB shelf with unknown number of pages, which was read on 7/5. http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/... Title is: Collateral Damage
I have counted it for the challenge as it was shelved as such. If it is found to not qualify I will adjust the spreadsheet accordingly.
Thanks.
Claire wrote: "Hi, I have a feeling the answer will be no but I've just been doing a shelf check and found this, will this count? The Complete Guide to Stamping"Claire - sorry it too so long to get back to you. Redeeming chunksters took a little longer than expected.
I've really thought about
. In looking at the book, there seems to be more diagrams than actual text so this book would not count. Sorry :(

Kari on team LJB has 1 book on her team shelf with the number of pages as 0 for the ebook. The paperback shows 400 pages. Her shelf is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...
The book is: The Alchemyst
Thanks for your time!
This is a long shot, but would Eat St.: Recipes from the Tastiest, Messiest, and Most Irresistible Food Trucks qualify for this challenge?

We will not be changing the ebook data.
For Kindle books with 0 pages, we have decided not to change them from this point forward. We anticpate a merger of Goodreads data and Amazon data will be forthcoming and our work would be erased.
Thanks for you patience and understanding.

Can I check:
has word count 60,000 provided by ARe. That means it's at 240 pages, right? And it works for the TT?
Vi wrote: "Can I check:

I read
on my kindle. After some research via worldcat.org and library listings I found 236 pages. Just want to check before tagging it read for my team.

I'm currently reading
. It does not have a print version. GR has the kindle/ebook editions listed at 370 pages. On Amazon it says print length 249 pages. Can I get a verdict please and thank you :)

We need a page count or word count for this book. I can't figure out how to get a copy of it to see.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
Yes, that one. Sorry, I was trying to find it and had the link to the book page in my clipboard. There was a link to download it from the book page a little while ago according to the author, but I think it is over now. I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Jenny has it on her shelf.
Lisa Kay wrote: "You mean it was free for awhile?"Yes, I believe so. The author is a GR author, is it possible to ask the author herself if she knows? It looks like she is the one who added it to the GR database. I wasn't sure how appropriate that would be.
Regarding:
It looks like this author is "exclusive" to GRs. (Interesting. I've never heard of this.) Here are some of her posts when the book was available for download (I'm assuming for free). I don't know how one gets a copy of any of them when they aren't available. Countess Paige and I can't find Dynasty anywhere.
Turtlecollector wrote: "I wasn't sure how appropriate that would be."I, as a librarian, message authors all the time. Some respond, some don't, but there's nothing wrong with asking!
I found cached pages on Amazon for the first and second book. They were 444 and 440 pages, respectively, so it seems likely that Dynasty would follow suit, but I can't find any evidence to it ever being sold on Amazon.
You are luckier than I am, Vicky. I haven't had one author answer me yet! Now, I have been lucky with some narrators. ☺Thanks for the info on #1 and #2.
I tried messaging the author but her profile says she won't be on GR much for a couple of weeks since she is writing. The 1st and 4th books have page counts in the 400's listed on GR. Should I leave it be to see if I get an answer since it is likely it would count, or do I need to ask her to remove it from her shelf?
